I remember one late evening after a visit to the movies with my family and we were walking through the streets of Stockholm to the tube. A street musician was playing this on a cello and it echoed between the buildings. It was about 1 o'clock at night and I felt in that moment, that even though it's maybe not the best time to play music on the streets because people might be sleeping, if people were to wake up to it they would not be mad. It was just too beautiful.

I am not ashamed to admit that, even at my age (79) this beautiful piece of music can still bring a tear to my eyes.

I can honestly feel how Schubert poured his heart and soul into this amazingly wonderful classical song/hymn. I find it fascinating that so many of the great composers wrote Some amazing hymns/songs.

The three of you play music like angels from Heaven; I'm always so touched hearing your music. Danke.
