I've always thought this was a beautiful piece, absolutely astonishing note choice for the vocals, while I might not be musically eductated to the point where I can explain it, but my body can feel that other notes, flourishes or straying from the original notes would lessen the experience/imact of the piece. While I feel like the piece is meant to be a more serene experience, I always couldn't help but think there was always something a bit melancholic about the undertone, the baritone version adds a bit more emphesis to the melencholic element. Keep in mind, I don't have a clue what I'm talking about, but I can feel the music, hopefully someone gets my angle lol. Anyways, aboslutely amazing rendition of Ave Maria.
