FACTS 🚨⬇ : 2022 Grammys - Beyonce’s “Renaissance” album (with 3 hit songs + made history for the most downloaded album in its first day by a female artist) lost to Harry Style’s “Harry’s House” album (with literally 1 hit song “As It Was” that wasn’t even one of his biggest hits) 2016 Grammys - Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” album (with 4 hit songs + a history making album MOVIE) lost to Adele’s “25” (with 3 hit songs) 2014 Grammys - Beyoncé’s album “Beyoncé” (with 4 hit songs + a history making moment with there being an incredible music video for EVERY song on the album) lost to Beck’s “Morning Phase” (with 2 hit songs that only obscure oddballs were listening to) 2009 Grammys - Beyoncé’s “I am Sasha Fierce” (with 3 hit songs…1 being the biggest song and music video of the year “Put A Ring On It”) lost to Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” (with 2 hit songs that were targeted to an audience of girls under the age of 14 years old, “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me”) ---- Beyoncé’s Albums, “4” (2011), “B’day” (2006), and “Dangerously In Love” (2003) didn’t even receive nominations for Album of The Year when there were arguably albums by other artists that were nominated which shouldn’t have been in the category. For example ⬇ When you think of 2003 - do you not think of “Naughty Girl”, “Baby Boy” and “Crazy In Love”?! Those music videos played NONSTOP that year and these songs were on the radio ALL the time. “Dangerously In Love” should have had a nomination. When you think of 2006 - do you not think of “Irreplaceable”?! It was the song of the YEAR that year, yet The Dixie Chicks album, with only 1 hit song on it “Not Ready To Make Nice” got nominated instead…and that wasn’t nearly as big of a hit as Beyonce’s song and it certainly wasn’t as memorable of an album overall. Her 2011 album “4” had more hits, and was more memorable, than the Foo Fighters album that was nominated instead - with just 2 obscure “hit songs” that I’ve never heard in my life. Beyoncé’s “Love On Top”, “Best Thing I Never Had”, and “Run The World (Girls)” were all fantastic songs and it was a well-rounded album with great production.

Yes, it is not unlikely that this AOTY despair crossed her own mind at least 99 times. The ONLY thing worse than Jay Z publicly whining about this is Beyonce doing it herself, which will surely be viciously damaging to her. But smart move she didn't.

She had the best tour of the year… but i went to the concert, people enjoyed her performance, no one knew the words to her new album, But them swifties can recite that girl stuff forwards and backwards. It just is….

@@briantbmoth6472 her most recent tour. And I’m not knocking her tour, it was amazing worlds best performer. But the show was about her performance clearly, not the album. I say this to say, i see why she didn’t get ALBUM of the year this time, but i do feel like she should have been due.
