I've a fan of metal and playing guitar since about 1975, and I have to say this is one of my all time fave modern metal songs. Its just beautifully written and constructed. The guitar solo should be taught as metal soloing 101. It's not just a bunch of tricks, riffs and runs that seem to permeate so much of metal guitar these days. It is melodic and has parts you can sing. it has sections and tells a story. The breakdown after the solo just kicks ass. A7X is not a copy of any other band. They have carved out their own unique sound and style.

Totally with you on everything. I was hooked to Buried Alive when I still didn't knew and listened much about the band. After a few days it became an anthem to me. Nostalgic, beautifully haunting, and technically driven, without being too tricky or intricate. In a few months I knew I was in for the long ride with A7X.

This band is so far above the status quo, they redefine their damn genre. They're ridiculously talented and Nightmare is one of the few albums in which I NEVER skip a song and each song effortlessly bleeds and feeds into the next. One of my all time favorite albums from one of my favorite bands

I’m 44. I always dismissed this band over the years as a watered down version of Guns & Roses or Metallica. I always secretly liked Scream, and a couple of songs but overlooked them entirely.
