The song story is 2 lovers, that live lives as a pair, and die in this live, they go to cosmic, then meet again in next live, the journey goes on and on.. Best song on album imo, Shadows, Synesters brillant guitar solo, and the drum roll at end, love it..

For me it’s about reincarnation and 2 lovers finding each other in multiple lifetimes, life forms throughout the cosmos. It’s beautiful and I love this song more every time I listen to it.

Yeah I put this on my playlist immediately. I love it! I am actually happy with the direction they took this last album.

@@DaneBramageROCKS Agreed. Its of course different but it works amazingly. Lyrics are very retrospective and confronts death, and afterlife and living in a simulation. Speaks very well to the world we all live in today. A lot of ppl trash this album, but I love the evolution they made from 10yrs ago to now. Shows they have grown up and are comfortable pushing boundaries and experimenting.

I didn’t pay attention to the lyrics but the song was almost like an emotional or spiritual journal. Not sure I like the singer’s non-metal vocal parts. Don’t dislike them but he’s got such a strong voice in the few songs I’ve heard. Acidentally stumbled across them like a decade ago and listened to their newest album back then. Kind of forgot about them, but now I want to listen some more - thank you for bringing them back to me :)

Hi there and thank you so much. M. Shadows (Singers) is one of my favorites but I dig that raw yet crisp sound he brings in his singing. Funny enough, their most popular album was my least favorite because it had that 'made for radio' sound. It was still good, but their earlier stuff and this last one was great. Although, admittedly, my favorite song from them still is Buried Alive.

@@ZeniaLarsen you should definitely listen to their album city of evil, certified classic or if you like heavier stuff with harsh vocals their album waking the fallen which is also a classic
