I mean I bet his mic is being ran through a preamp and a compressor and reverb which is standard stuff. But the "effect" they though was happening was Matt just emphasizing different harmonics in his fry scream. I've done it before but can never do it with any sort of consistency.

Yeah he’s just going down further into the growl from the higher scream there and there’s a pitch shift almost a break that you hear there it’s real & sounds cool

Noooo Matt doesn't use any kind of effect on live performances. Even on Sunny Disposition live performance, he literally brought a megaphone instead of using any effects on the sound mixing.

Loved the video as always! And actually, they were trying to make the song seem slower at first, then surprise their fans. Glad to see another A7X reaction! (Even though I barely ever get the notification when you upload your videos, even with notifications turned on.)

I miss The Rev, his voice was so profound on the entire self-titled album, such a shame he passed so young. Their new drummer is incredible though, definitely not Rev, but he’s a badass in his own right. The Stage is honestly my favorite album of theirs. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not because it’s newer, I love their old albums, but that one was incredible

Personally, I love to hear the rap part that this song has... Unfortunately, in the live version Matt replaces the rap part with chants from the audience (specifically when Matt stops singing). It would be nice if you reacted to the official version of the song, I think you can be surprised with Matt's ability to rap. Btw, as always great reaction!

I hope one day I'll see them playing. Avenged Sevenfold is the best band I ever heard. Of course it was better with Jimmy but they still doin' the best they can and they're loyal to the music genere of the band. They don't changed the instrumental and lyrics over the years and that's the thing I love more about them. My fave band since 2008 ❤

2:21 No there are no effects. Anyone can do it, it's just a matter of training and practice. For MANY YEARS. For some people it takes 20 years to do these kind of things and for some other people it takes 5. It's called screaming [ vocally ]
