I love the visual image that these two guitarists present. Sure it comes from Zachy learning the guitar backwards, but you don't see it anywhere else in the rock world. It gives "dueling" or "mirror" guitars a whole new meaning.

this helped me alot... I only played the acoustic guitar, and a friend invited me to be a member of a rock band, and we are going to play Beast and the Harlot this 3rd or 4th week of August. This vid gave me a good introduction to electric guitars and some helpful tips since I was assigned to lead guitar (Syn's position).

AS is just a band with 100% talented musicians and you can just hear it in this interview as well. Really a top band.

i don't know why it took me so long to finally listen to this band. for some reason i thought they would be overrated and were all about looks, but then i heard some of their songs and now they're one of my favorite bands. thank god that there's some good new metal bands out their:)

@Neekx0h I think he means, like here the 16s that he plays, kinda keep the same shape or pattern..motif is french( i don't know if you really use it in english)..so he's keeping the same motif for every 16s, going up the fretboard(by up I mean higher), cause we know syns love notes that sometimes doesn't sounds right, but combine with the rest of the verse kinda adds a feel to it...so even if the motif going up the fretboard doesn,t include the right ntoe that should be in the scales,

So? It was a song that they threw away, Diamonds in the rough were songs they threw away for the A7x album. Therefor thats what I believe Zacky was talking about. Diamonds wasn't an album, it was a bunch of b-sides.

@caskettheclown Syn seems like he really doesn't want to be there. The monotony of these things probably bores him. Zacky isn't as knowledgeable theory wise, but you can tell he's eager to learn more about music.

@amierbassripper Like syn said, he's the theory guy. What a lot of guitarists put aside syn masters and with so much technique and theory comes a lot of language unique to that style. So only so many can understand. Luckily I can grab some of the stuff, but yes it is really complicated! :)
