Honestly in a state of melancholy, so re-watching previous dramas. This drama is a masterpiece, it made my brain work, and the writers are genius.

This drama unravels the plot so well and the pacing is one of the most perfect I've ever seen in any drama or TV show. Not too slow, not too fast. Not too simple, not too complex that it feels frustrating or just feels like the writers are showing off. Just feels like a real story. I enjoyed every scene and was engrossed, never skipped. It wasn't just about the end and how it's "solved" but the journey as well which made it very nice. Just some plot holes and a few corny moments at the beginning were my only gripes.

When you said that Mainland is incapable of making making a drama as good as this, I got really sad. I was reminded that while there are talented storytellers in china, they do not have the same freedom in creating what they in-vision. The culture and rules they have to play are different and sometimes telling a story as raw and captivating isn't possible. Someday or One Day is one of the best dramas I've seen. I agree with you, I can't see any drama airing anytime in the near future being as good as this one.

I think the main actress is soooo talented, that it is crazy. In the scene where CY comes back as, as soon as she wakes up we know we know it's not HY and they did do anything, ther didn't change her hair, outfit or do some big dialog. It was the small key details that made the audience realize. Literally how is she so good

i agree with you abt the ending. it was unexpected, it was kinda like an "oh ..." moment, and it made me cry. i really like how the story touched on that issue instead of being a pure love story.

Rewatch this review after finishing the drama but I already missed it. I remembered how excited I was after watching your review since you gave very high praises for this drama. It didn't disappoint and was exactly what you said. Cleverly and beautifully made in many details. To me what made this drama unique is the way they build and deliver these hidden messages. The struggles that these characters went through was relatable and understandable. I just appreciate life more while and after watching it. 👏🏼 Last year, Taiwan did come out with a few great dramas including BLs. Even in the BL genre, it also set a high standard for the genre.

I was catching up on your reviews a couple of days ago and saw this video so I decided to give this drama a shot and omg I am a WRECK right now. I just now finishd it, took me about three days to get through it because I wanted to savor the experience. It was such a beautiful story. The soundtrack takes you into such a nostalgic space, it's the type of music that makes your soul quiver. The cast was amazing; they each played their roles wonderfully. Ko Chia-yen is an outstanding actress, I fell in love with Greg, balled my eyes out throughout the whole thing. I'm going to have major withdrawals for a while. I definitely recommend this drama for everyone to watch!

At the end of each episode when I thought I had it figured out, I would remember what you said - that it’s not what I think it is, and every time you were damn right! This drama is amazing!! Best drama I’ve seen in a very long while. The crew also made Attention, Love which is another drama I was obsessed with. I like how they had cameos of the main leads in the beginning hahaha. Especially when reenacting the petal scene I was LOLing so hard.

I finished it last night and loved it. Great writing, direction and acting too. It was bloody awesome. Agree with you it being the best contemporary Chinese language drama ever. Taiwan really does make really good dramas.

I've been a big fan of Taiwanese dramas since early 2000s! Honestly, many great dramas were underrated amongst international Chinese audience~ So glad this one has received the appreciation it deserved from international audience! It might not even be exaggerating to say it might the the best Taiwanese drama ever! Also, 柯佳嬿 is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Her acting has also steadily improved over the years!

Thanx to ur awesome review, I bingewatched it last night n loved it!! The plot's so creatively smart! The actors r so amazing! No dubs (unlike mainland dramas), just their own voices, their natural body language, make it all so real. 1 gripe: the English title's so horribly wrong. It should just literally translate the Chinese title, 'Wanting to See You,' which reflects their deep intense love and yearning.

This drama was simply amazing from beginning to end. The themes that it looked at which were life and death and what love means within that were totally breathtakingly done. It does take a bit of warming up--you have to get through the first 2-ish episodes to finally feel like it's going, but after that, it's a ride and a half. And most people who watch it won't want to spoil it for you because the spoilers in each episode make you pause and reexamine compared to if you know ahead of time. But it's really tightly plotted. I loved it. Meet me at 1006, gave me similar feels. But I think this one was more thoughtful and well laid out on its themes and what it means.

Started to watch it, now on the ep 3. This drama has such strong anime feeling in it! It took the best from the whole bunch of genres, leaving behind typical character portrayal tropes (those overacting archetypes...). Very interesting. Thank you for this recommendation.

*spoiler* This drama was so good and shows what can happen if there isn't an episode quota to fill. Just tell the story and be done. For 13 episodes enough was packed into each that it didn't feel short or unfulfilling. And, to have a satisfying-unsatisfying end done the way it should...LMAO. You can forgive the logic of what happens when the MFL grows up looking exactly like best friend's love interest if the two leads are meant to be together. That would be awkward. And, the gay boy is left to die, I assume?

I've finished watching and it's a good drama. Highly recommended.

I watched it over the weekend, and it was as amazing as others have said! Props, Taiwan! Perhaps, I missed some background on HYX, but can anyone tell me where her family was? It doesn't seem like she was close to any family members in her 2019 life. Moreover, having struggled with supporting loved ones through mental health challenges, I appreciated show's sensitive treatment of these very real issues.

Not sure if you seen the show already but I was wondering if you would share some thought about 俗女養成記 since it is one of the top 3 t-drama in 2019 but less people talk about it than 想見你 and 我們與惡的空間. In any case I really like your design works (pins) and this review! Edit: If you haven't watch the show and plan to watch it, keep in mind some Taiwanese families over exaggerates their emotions because they were influenced by early television shows. Then TV comedies amplify those exaggerates and makes it super awkward sometimes. When I saw this show at first I thought there were too many over exaggerates parts and it feel unrealistic then I remember my uncle's family are like this and everyone always feel awkward around them.

Gonna watch it thanks to your recommendation.

I mean, I enjoy mainland dramas too, but most of my favorite dramas are Taiwanese. I notice it has that nostalgic factor which I really enjoy. And when they’re good, boy are they good! Watching this drama make me angry, sad, exited, happy in the same time.. I finished this drama yesterday..

I literally just finished it this past weekend and it was great! For the first time though, I didn't agree with your opinions in reviews, which usually I do. I think the confusion in the different lives/loop and hidden themes was a loophole. Probably because I started to question it like a 4-year-old going "why?". Once I started going why? it felt like it could have been written stronger for the flow in the drama. However, I still thought it was one of the most well-done dramas I have seen in a long time. I felt the exact same way when I realized the intro and outro was a spoiler for the show. It was an amazing feeling though because no one would have thought it would be in there until they're about halfway in. Currently having some withdrawals and your review felt way too short. Like I need someone to talk to about this drama!

Caution: Spoiler-y comment ahead! Thank you so much for this review. It prompted me to watch Someday or One Day; I just finished, and I’m still trying to cope with my raw emotions, haha. Such a good point about the Möbius strip structure of the plot, and it made me think of Li Zi Wei’s drawings in their 2019 apartment. I finally understand the significance of those! (It took me long enough....) The only thing I wonder about is the life of the real Wang Quan Sheng after the resolution in the final episode. Is his fate the same, or does his life change as well? Also, I am literally shocked that the two leads are in their 30s. I need to access their skincare routine ASAP.

i just finished the drama yesterday, binge watched in 4 days, was soo good and can't let go. Happy to see I'm not the only one. Actually I tried to watch it twice and gave up after 2' thinking it was the very classic bland romance drama... Now I realize I was totally mistaken. Really excellent plot, good actors, deep, moving and fun. Hope the very same team can collaborate again and release another one at this level. By the way, this was a book before, no? Do you know if there is any drama adapted from the same author? Thanks!

The way i discovered this drama is so weird as i just finished watching parallel love and was so unhappy that a cool concept like going back 10 years and finding love was not made that nicely with so many loopholes and not much sense so i went on to find a better show where the theme is similar that leads travel back in time (not ancient but modern only) find love and how that would play out but this show exceeded my expectations by 10 folds! Its the perfect blend of fantasy, romance, mystery, crime and melancholy all wrapped into one show without any part being overbearing on other. It can't get better than this really.

Can you talk about Netflix original "The Ghost Bride"? Hope people can talk more about this Malaysian and Taiwanese drama.
