_ the issue I have with him personally is that he’s too defensive to start for villa. Considering we need to win games he isn’t the player we need at villa park to start the game, he had a good game today but one grealish is back he’ll be replaced again.

@@matthaeus7762 Tbh its a good thing at the moment, without Axel and Chester being injured and not playing well and also Taylor always getting beaten easily, we need him to strengthen up the defense and protect them because Hourihane is nothing but a set piece taker. Watch the Freddie Sears goal today and Hourihane just ran away and let him have the shot when he should've been closing him down and being aware of who's behind him and where the ball is.

@@phillydavison He's had more than 1 good game in the last 5 but the whole team was playing terrible so it's not fair to pick him out. In the Swansea Cup game he was the only one trying to do something (along with McGinn), he had to run upfield and press their defenders because Hogan wasn't and Adomah wasn't doing anything either. The Wigan game was unlucky seeing as he should've started over Bjarnason who is dreadful, and it was the wrong substitution to make when we were losing and had 2 strikers on the bench. Yes we can upgrade, but i think he's good enough to take us up to the play-off spots. If we have Whelan, McGinn and Grealish in midfield, there is more balance and a variety and he can be subbed off if we need to bring someone else on.

I know what you mean. That's why Maupay would be a good addition to the attack. He gets into good spaces & scores from difficult angles. Hopefully can sell Hogan this week & make a cheeky last minute grab for Maupay before the deadline.

Can't really criticise 19 goals in 23 games. His passion and all round play too. Tammy is quality, yes misses chances but scores so many too. Even Harry Kane misses chances but scores a hell of a lot too

Claret And Blue Vison I thought 2-1 flattered Ipswich cause we looked good going forward and the only times Ipswich had chances were when the defence would make individual errors

They scored the best goal of the game and could have snatched a draw hitting the post. The penalty was very soft. A win is a win , but we are absolutely terrible.

El ghazi out ? I rate him as our best winger. The rest need to go too except Hutton. Jedi and Whelan are too old now. If jedi stays fit we'll concede less though.

El Ghazi played well and looked a threat. I was at Boro, he was exceptional both going forward and tracking back, at Albion even better. He's had a couple of indifferent games but he's not Elmo and Taylor now they both need showing the door!
