Thanks for explaining about the galvanized. I've been looking for materials and I wasn't finding anything. If you can do a video about how to use galvanized safely, it'd be greatly appreciated.

it's good that you're making a big aviary for your birds. my family always tells me about how birds get stressed and start pulling out their feathers if they have a cage that's too small. i can tell you're working hard and that it's paying off!

This is amazing! I love how you built the aviary off of the greenhouse.

Hey Thanks! I’m almost finished with the aviary. About 95% there, just gotta cut through greenhouse and install the door. Thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it!

Hi love what you have done there. I’ve been looking myself for that same wire mesh you have with no luck. Where did you get yours? Or help would be greatly appreciated.

I love your aviary!! Just wondering why didn't you use something like aluminum instead? It's water resistant, cheaper, and safe for birds. I read off an article from the AFA(American Federation of Aviculture) it was by a zoo I believe they recommended using aluminum square tubing. You should also consider adding ornamental pheasants they can control pests, and help clean up any left over, and spilled food.

I had easy access to the galvanized and its cheaper than aluminum. I like your idea about the pheasants....thanks!!

@@grassrootsgardening what you should also consider doing is once the aviary is finished let it weather for a week. This will detoxify the effects of the zinc in the galvanized mesh. I read from the World Parrot Trust, they recommended to paint the aviary with water based low sheen black outdoor paint. It's harmless to the birds, and I figure it will add an extra layer of protection.

@@grassrootsgardening well I've had him for 12 years and the lady we got him from didn't know much about him. His name was Harley when we got him but we call him Harhar. He likes women better than men and he loves to fly around the house. We are downsizing soon and won't have room for him . We are in Newnan Georgia just south of Atlanta.
