@@CelineA545 Sadly, a lot of them are still works in progress, but I do have a few. And, if you haven’t read SELF/LESS or RELENT/LESS, then I recommend you don’t read ahead-there’s gonna be a lot of spoilers 😅 To start, GRRRLS seems to be the way Teddy accepted how she was different in SELF/LESS. I feel like it could have been at a few different moments in time, such as when she accepted being the leader of the underground, or when she was talking about her differences from society. I feel like different lines connect with different parts of the story. In DROWN, it may be her talking about her best friend, Lisa, being sanitized. Since the meaning of this song is dealing with the challenges or consequences of being different (now that she’s accepted being different), with the line “All my friends are dead,” this is most likely the reference to Teddy’s best friend being sanitized. BRN certainly seems to have some connection with SELF/LESS but what it is exactly, I’m not sure. It could be talking about all the members of the underground that kept name calling her, or maybe Link and Petra, and if none of those, then Jamie when she reunites with him in RELENT/LESS. STREETS is also something that I’m not entirely sure about. It could have to do with Link, since towards the end of SELF/LESS, she, even though she was harmed and at a great disadvantage, had such an anger for Link. It could also somehow be about the “sanitization” sessions she witnessed. PSYCHO is about becoming the names you’re called, so some of those names that the members of the underground called her is what she is becoming. RULES is about being your own person and even when people say “this is the correct way,” you can say no, since you're your own person. This may have to do with Teddy kind of letting herself make the decisions? I feel as if she was following Kit’s guidance and such, even if she had an opinion going against it. At some point though, she let herself be who she wanted to be. WICKED may be about the punishments the city of Metropolis try to put on the citizens, but her defying them and thriving. QOTF does seem to connect in multiple ways, but the very literal way is when she becomes an official leader of the underground. I believe Kit actually told her she would be the queen of the freaks, and in the scene, she was wearing the exact makeup and outfit she was wearing in the music video. ANTIHERO is the pressure she was under to be the savior or “hero” to the underground. HOUDINI be the way she presented herself? I’m not entirely sure about this one. TWISTED seems to be her backlashing opinions and ways compared to the city’s and how she gives herself freedom in the underground. DEMONS could be her relationship with Jamie, especially with the line “Everything was real before we’d begun.” I don’t know, I feel like it kind of connects with their relationship a lot. Same with CITD, which talks about cars, just as DEMONS did, and also described the lies he told her. There’s a few more songs that I haven’t looked into as much, but this is my interpretation of her songs. Sorry for the long comment (especially if it was no use due to the spoilers), but I’m just really enthusiastic about this topic, even if a lot of them were just obvious stuff. Anyway, if you have any connection or opinions on this, I would love to hear them!
