I have a 2022 Mach E California Route 1 and have experienced no issues. As of this week I have owned the car for one year. The car is too much fun to drive or to have it drive you. I highly recommend this vehicle if you are willing to wait on it because it took me almost one year to get mine.

I have the 2022 California route 1 mach-e with extended battery and I haven't experienced a single issue. Easily my fav vehicle I've ever owned. There were definitely flaws in the first model, but that goes for any product or vehicle for the first roll out. Ford has done a great job in my opinion working out the bugs.

Ok here I come! I also have a 21 Mach E. And it is by far a great vehicle. I absolutely love it. Not one issue other than my screen freezing…. ONCE. after that she has been smooth sailing. I will be shipping this car to my parents home in San Juan Puerto Rico. I WILL be purchasing this new E mustang. I absolutely love it. My wife has the Rivian ( Awesome incredibly fast car but too darn pricey) I have been a “ Ford man” since 1986 when I purchased my first Ford… a 1965 Ford Falcon convertible. My very next car was a 1990 Ford Mustang and never looked back. Fords all the way. And now at darn near 60 years old….I love my Ford.

Consumer Reports has jumped the gun on its new model recommendations for decades. In the 70's they gave a top pick recommendation for the Dodge Aspen and Plymouth Volare that brought new meaning to the phrase "instant depreciation." The cars had a number of mechanical, electrical and body hardware problems that took years to resolve. They're best for looking at an established model's performance over a several year period.

The issue is Ford dealers they don’t know the MME, they don’t want to service MME and they aren’t helpful when you have issues. I would like to know how many of the 300k consumer surveys where from owners of an MME. I have a Consumer subscription and I didn’t get a survey? Many people assume EV’s are plug and play. Where I live in the distance is I need to travel daily, electric vehicles are just not a solution. When anybody starts to push electric vehicles I just say this, “I can pull into a gas station in my Toyota Tundra with 40 miles “left to empty”, I spend five minutes at the pump, I drive out with 465 “miles left to empty“. Until and unless electric vehicles can do this they will not be viable for most of the country.

As so many EV bashers do, you cite one situation. Long distance travel. A relatively uncommon one at that. The majority of U.S. auto owners would be well served by an EV. 25 miles per day. Charge at home. I don't own an EV. I may never buy one. But, I don't bash them for their limitations. Any more than I'd bash my neighbor's autos for whatever use they put them to. All vehicles have their respective uses and limitations. I own a sports car and and SUV among others. Can't fit more than two people a minimal other goods in the sports car. A Costco trip that includes a case of soda or TP can be challenging. That's what the SUV is for. To each, their own.
