Hi again Peter, quick question- following the recent announcements limiting the issuing of study permits, it was indicated that only Masters and Ph.D. courses will qualify students for PGWP after they finish but you seem to be saying in this video that other certificates such as postgraduates diplomas or certificates can still qualify students for PGWP after Sep 2024? Please can you clarify?

You are right. He is wrong. All colleges graduates awarded post graduate diploma are not eligible for post graduation work permit henceforth.

@@Ms.Amalebo I don't need pgwp for anything. You guys should verify with IRCC before investing your monies. I know most of the students applying for the post graduate diploma already have bachelor's degree from their home countries so why won't you guys apply for a non-thesis masters program instead. Only masters and phd graduates qualify for pgwp currently, the law changed.

Your explanation isn’t quite clear unfortunately. These eligible schools share the campuses of the non eligible schools. So for eg. St Clair college at ACE Academy. It’s not the other way round. These DLI schools take up spaces in these non DLI schools to enable them admit more students.

You are right. The admission is from the public college with their campus extension to the private colleges. I think the policy applies to the programs offered by the private colleges in partnership with the public colleges

What i would say is stay away from private institutes. You never know what ircc is upto. Who knows they maybstop pgwp from private college/university altogether. It will be safe to be in a public college/university

You can bring in your kids dependents are not restricted only spouse..With my understanding of the new policy spouse will no longer be given Work permit but they can come in as visitors and won't be able to work,so I think🤷‍♀️

@@daisyegboro9531, no, colleges in general are no longer being granted post graduation work permits and the same applies to bachelor's degree. The only exception is master's and phd graduates.

@@sunshinemayeI understand you now, no college are eligible for spousal open work permit for diploma and bachelors degree. That is what I understand from his statement. Spousal Open work permit are only given to those people who came to do their masters or PGD program.

You will need an attestation letter from the province for that program now.. If you can get that letter you will have no problem, but I guess this will not be possible..
