Hi, Kevin! How are you? I'm an English teacher here in Brazil, but currently working as a Pedagogical Director in a public school. I was wondering if you could make a video showing what you and Lisa consider to be the best sequence of contents to teach English as a foreign language. There are so many published but I would like to see your views on it. Thank you!

I am not Kevin or Lisa. My two cents as the English language learner - teaching the BASIC sentence structure is of the most importance. Not simple sentences such as "Maria is eating hot soup", but complex or compound sentences (ex. "It's the beginning of July, but the plums are already ripe and you can make plum jam") Secondary come 12 English tenses, the structure of which is better memorized, based on examples, than understood. Continuing with articles, prepositions, pronunciation and vocabulary, phrasal verbs and everything else is the next step. Preposition TO is difficult for the English language learners, so time should be spent on mastering it.

@@MaryJones-fs4wfHey! Thank you so much for comment! But don't you think that teaching the twelve tenses is a long shot that dives too deep into grammar? I'm more for a lot of vocabulary and the most commonly used tenses. What do you think?

@@roneienglish1921 The sooner these 12 sentences are mastered the better. Like I said for each tense "a sample" sentence is memorized and that will simplify the rest. Understanding will come later.
