Well put 😆 I always treat the ground and 12V the same. Remember, ground isn’t ‘nothing’, it’s Zero Volts 👍

Unfortunately, most automotive technicians do not like to read, many more do not like to sit in classes or training seminars unless it has beer and pizza 🤣 And there’s many who don’t even have the patience, unfortunately to watch videos like this all the way through . And the sad part is I’m talking about 10 missions who have five years to 15 years experience and still do not understand the basics of voltage drop and power consumption . Automotive industry is in desperate need of more channels like this . Now, if we could just do something about the individuals who are in the Automotive who should not be . Unless they’re forced by gunpoint to actually do some reading and training and education.

😅 You can lead a horse to water…. I think something can be said about leadership, motivation and being shown the value of training and learning. You’re right, many don’t understand this basic concept and it will be the customer that pays for it eventually. As you know, we focus on making it engaging and easy to understand so those who stumble across us may be enlightened 😁 It’s a difficult situation!

new to your channel, i do a/c and diag on trucks and cars all over home counties and esp london'. . love yor movies but from expeirence have only found 2 people who own diagnostic equipment from Pico ,most use snap on and the cheaper launch .most complain about yeary subscrition being very expensive 5 people use the launch with the no upgrade package and get by ok

I would gladly like your advice. I have saved some cash for Picoscope 2406B for Auto use. The dealer is out of stock and offers me a 2208B. Should I take the offer?

You’re getting close (price) to just going for the Automotive scope. I’d say go for the 2405a or just save a bit more and get the 4 channel Automotive scope on its own 👍

That is true because a filament in the bulb, with a led as a light will not work

Nice video but can’t wait for voltage drop Why do you show the first circuit with 0 0.00 on the ground? If it was 0.00 you have a problem with an open load you demonstrate the bulb in that circuit ground side read 9 millivolts a complete circuit That’s voltage drop proving a circuit ground side VD usually less than 0.100 Just my observation CHEERS

It demonstrates that it is connected to ground, as ‘nothing’ is different zero. In that example it was open circuit. The next lesson in the course builds on this And it sounds like you understand it already 👍

Wrong you are still connected to Earth, that invalidate your logic,current needs a road map, in other words voltige can only travel down any road if there is an exit (earth)

Don’t try this. If you’re not earthed if you touch the red wire you will not be electrified. Put your finger on the plus sign on the battery no problem touch the both + - electric shock
