When mountain climbing, best to watch the forecast and wear proper gear. Climbing that mountain in wet conditions looks to be extremely dangerous. Also, best to climb with another person. If you get injured, it could be a long while before help arrives.

I dont watch these Farangs In Thailand vlogs because they are usually extremely boring - "ooh look at me I'm living in Thailand" - as if somehow that is video worthy (it isn't). The rest of us living here just get on and do stuff. Usually WAY more interesting stuff. Without needing to bore everyone on KZfaq about it. And there is no shortage of Farangs doing stupid dangerous things in Thailand. Plenty of them get killed or injured each year. So it's rather incredulous that we've got idiotic behaviour AND he's filmed it! **shakes head in disbelief**

@@Alex-mu4ue thanks but no. Why do you think you don't see any vlogs from people in Thailand with a car loaded with dive, cycling, and hiking gear? Because all the vlogs are essentially from incredibly boring people who are really just long stay tourists doing horribly touristy things and getting excited about eating street food. My (age appropriate) Thai GF and I had some epic adventures during Covid and met some amazing people - non of who were vlogging because a) we were just too busy making the most of it (who wants to waste a nice day editing video, or spend a day in an amazing place with your focus on getting good content instead of just being present??) and b) no-one really wants to see it. People who watch this crap just want to see boring shit like street food and a walking street (two video topics that always get the most views).

I was here in 2017. It was a grueling climb with endless steps at the beginning, but once you get to the pipe ladders, it wasn't tiresome anymore. The view was worth it.

A tough video but you know what, I actually think videos like this are very important to show because a lot of travel content producers only show the rainbows and balloons side of things and that gives a false version of reality. What you've done here Paddy is show the reality of travel content and that is every bit as fascinating, educational and important as videos where its sunlight and cocktails. Kudos to you and keep safe.

...even I felt the pain in this video and that is testament to the reality you create in your videos. Well done to you! As someone who lives in Thailand and has often undertaken some hard graft in the relentless heat and humidity - this video depicted the sheer exhaustion that I've felt here too. Even your motorbike looked like it died in the end - but you didn't. Respect! Keep up the excellent, real life videos Paddy! Amazing!!

hi paddy. first time watching ya vid. thanks man, for that caveat and insights that this is probably dangerous if bad luck falls. rainy weather really can turn such beautiful aerial views into a nightmare! also, the monkeys are another unwelcomed risk, seriously. you're right that they can be unpredictable especially a troupe is just around the corner. aw man.. feeling ya predicament when the rain+steep descent wasn't the last thing that befallen you! glad you made it back safe and its a blessing. p.s. your ambient music was superb! it blends so naturally with ya vids. love it! take care in thailand yah!

That was one heck of an experience. Looks like you might be feeling that for a few days. We really got to get in shape before we start traveling. Oh and that squeaking your bikes doing we figured out what is was...when was the last time you fed the hamsters in the engine? 😆 great video Paddy. I've climbed a couple of mountains before. My display pic was taken when I was on Mount Rinjani in Indonesia. I always tell people that the most dangerous part of climbing any mountain is the descent. Not many people would think about that. I'm glad you made it down safely. Now to the next mountain!

AGREE COMPLETELY as i lived in a resort town of mountains and hiking, would guide my guests, family, friends on the trails. I was like a pro because of what i learned so gave a speech of trail etiquette, ecology, and safety. If someone joked i got deadly serious and said you overestimate YOUR skills and underestimate the dangers so take it serious or we dont go! Flip flops sandals funky shoes were always the first most important to go! Water average 1 gallon per person for short-they ALL complain till on the hike and gulping it thankfully! 🙏🏻❤️

Great vlog Paddy, fair play for walking up those steps to the devils ridge, not for the faint hearted but wow, well worth the view.. Getting the flat tyre was a nightmare, driving with the flat may have ruined the tyre and tube and i hope u did'nt scratch the new exhaust when the bike fell.

Well done on the climb Paddy. I already thought those ladders looked dangerous as hell when I watched Nick Dean and Carl’s Thailand do it last month, although they did it in the sun……..you did it at dusk, in the rain and one handed! Hats off to you mate…..glad you made it back safely.

Definitely a lot harder in the rain, I’ve done a few videos from there myself (In my old channel name “Karl’s Thailand), definitely one of Thailand’s great day trip adventures. Respect for making it to the top, many give up at the top of the stairs

Amazing Paddy!… defo putting this on my bucket list 🙏 And for the record, I bl@@dy hate those moneys too!! Dreamy’s had a long and hard life… but she’s got plenty more life in her. Just a bit of water in the electrics maybe. Or on some honda’s there is a drain hole near the spark plug (obviously to drain any water that wells up near the plug). See if Dreamy has that drain hole and if so, shove a paper clip down it as it might be blocked. She’ll probably be fine when she’s dried out.

.and i'm scared to get up to our house's roof gutter already. that action cam view gave me shivers already. the view was worth the climb i think.. although you could've let your drone up there ;o) good to see dreamy back alive
