If you want to hide the entire filter pane yes. But I commonly use page and report level filters for users to filter by, which then I want to make sure all visual level filters are hidden

For the first click yes :) The first click selects the group, but if you click additional times until you select the visual, depending on how nested your group is. Then you'll select the visual and you'd see the visual level filters. So it does reduce the amount of times they might see them. But sadly won't prevent it entirely!

@@scramiro1 oh I agree, it takes time. But sadly needed to build a perfect report. Hopefully one day we have an easier way to do it!
