I dunno man. At least flight simulator admits it’s a simulation for flying your favorite planes. This game pretends to be a cooler version of mailing and amazon delivery with a sprinkle of death themes and metaphors so easily spelled out.

They rely their on some Hagrids casino addicted opinion :D Ive plaid this already for 25 hours and as MGS fan its very similar with charme and gameplay mechanice to MGS but much more deeper traveling (setting supportplaces,wandering eguipment,calculations etc.) And you can CQC with a rope ,throw packages and use all other weapons for the enemy types . Fcuk thos stoners lol . Its a good game with very much variety ,nothign for lifebored stoners,sorry.

Exactly I love the atmosphere and going on missions while listening to a podcast and just enjoying the trip, wondering what will happen storywise. But I also hate the laziness of using the same model for every "city", no variation or actual NPCs. Like are there just 1 or 2 people at each city? And the boss mechanics are disappointing. And the menus are overbloated. I still like it due to the setting, atmosphere and I bought the game to support companies willing to take risks. I fucking hate the product placements and the fucking toilet ad though. Makes it hard to really empathize with the hole "Kojima against corporate bastards"-theme.

The main mechanic of the game is delivering pizzas, which is boring as shit in theory but if you actually sit down and play it yourself and pay attention, there's a lot that goes into route planning and cargo management, and a degree of skill in navigating difficult terrain. This is gonna sound dumb, but the game's an experience. You cannot just sit down and go "WOAH THIS PIZZA DELIVERY IS GONNA BE A BLAST!" you gotta actually be interested in the world and the story, and be patient enough to feel like it's worthwhile to get your cargo to where it needs to go in top condition. It's not for everyone. The game is too slow paced for a lot of people and half the reward for progressing is getting more bits of story, but I really enjoy that it is the way it is. Though of course shit does ramp up. There are more BT encounters, human enemies to fight/stealth past who try to steal your cargo, you get another bike, you get weapons - I'm only on chapter 3 and just before I reached it I could literally see the point where the game was like "Okay things are about to get repetitive, we gotta introduce heaps of new stuff in this new area."

Its very similar to MGS gamemechanices and cutscenes ,just not military and late 80s weapons. After 10/20 episodes you will give me right. You got Guns,Npc,over 3 Vehicles(many variations) and many transport alt. tools/ways .

Yeah it’s just sad that people these days put the media above their head. They let the media decided what they should do, what they should think, and what they should feel instead of playing this game by themself and form their own opinion. I personally love Death Stranding. Been playing it for 10-11 hours with Hard difficulty and i’m at Episode 3 right now. The game keep expanding and throwing new stuff but the pace is pretty slow so we can learn and adapt with the mechanic while also understanding the story.
