That’s not a Rescue Tender. Avon FRS call theses appliances Water Rescue Ladders. The county operates four of them, and they are based at Avonmouth, Temple, Bath and Weston-super-Mare. The county’s sole Rescue Tender operates from Avonmouth fire station, and is designated as a Heavy Rescue Tender.

It is know as the rescue tender actually the fire fighters know it as a rescue tender and it goes out to more calls that a standard pump wouldn’t usually go to.
