Avril has done country songs, when she was a child she was part of a country album called The Quinte Spirit and sang "Temple of Life", "Touch the sky" and "Two Rivers", also covered "You Were Mine" as a child. She can do it no question about it, she has a great voice! Check those songs out though, they are all great!

@@RevanX Listen to the Album "The Quinte Spirit - 1999", where she was a singer for a music songwriter, with the lead song being Touch the sky, she used to sing in churches aswell and if you search for Touch the sky on YT you can find a Live version from 1999.

If you listen to some pop-punk they do have a certain twang to their voice they use it differently than country singers, Hayley Williams from Paramore is from TN and in Decode when she sings “how did we get here” you can hear it

If she actually follows through, she'd no doubt be accepted. The Country community seemed very accepting to her performance and, for the most part, have been very accepting to other artists in the past as well. Darius Rucker has to be one of the most successful crossover artists that I can think of to date (from Pop Rock/R&B to Country).

It’s so funny when people say this. Avril grew up singing country music. Her entire life she sang country songs. Then she was signed to a record label and they changed her entire image and sound. But make no mistakes about it, she is a natural country singer. That is why her voice fits so perfectly with this style. All the country twang and runs that she does with her voice is from the years she spent singing this style of music
