My grandpa passed away nine days ago because of a sudden heart attack. I miss him more when I’m listening to this song. I spent so much precious time with him, last January before the COVID really was a thing, I was still staying at his house, he gave me so many paintings he drew. It’s hard to believe and accept the fact, but reading your comment suddenly made me realize that it’s undeniable and heartbreaking that I’ll never hear him tell all those stories about the past once more, never see his bright smile or hear his cheering words, there won’t ever be another chance to meet him again for the rest of my whole entire life.

And you could tell they loved each other.My uncle would get that glimmer in his eye when he spoke of my Aunt. I always thought if I was lucky enough to find a guy like my uncle-I'd be married forever.That's really love.When you go through the tough times,and you tell yourself-you knew this was coming-everyone has tough times.But you stick it out and work it out.That's how you get to being together over 60 years! Unlike my dad-who was married 5 times to 4 different women.

This just reminds me of how whenever we visit my grandma, she asks "Where is grandpa?" And she gets so confused, and we always have to tell her he's gone, and then she gets really quiet. Then she goes "OH! I remember that... yeah, I miss him..." and this one day while we were leaving, she goes "Hey, could you tell him that um, I love him?" And I cried so hard, rn I can barley breathe so Rip Grandpa, I love you 💕

I was born in 96, so in 2009 i was 13 years old, I didn't really understand the meaning of this song, but i sang with Avril every word and I felt sad. I loved it back then. But now, 12years later, I sang it again one more time, and I feel my heart that breaks in million pieces. Growing up is so hard. You truly understand that life is pain, and happiness is just made of moments. Stick with memories of those moments. But never forget the pain.
