AVUS Circuit: 100 Years Of Germany's Craziest Racetrack

Күн бұрынBerlin's Avus is Germany's oldest and fastest racetrack and the prototype autobahn, where pre-war racers could reach up to 400 km/h! With two huge straights and an insanely steep bend called the Wall of Death, the Avus was one of the most unusually designed circuits in the world. It was inaugurated 100 years ago in September 1921. Time to look back on a fascinating history.

avus was the best DTM Track, alfa mercedes bwm opel etc... wow! what races there even much with the mustang! allways cool! old times, never come back 😞

I'd love it if it was opened again for choice events, I mean the main straight of le mans is a public road normally as well

Not sure much of the history is to be proud of. Stuck's comment about "jokes you can't tell today" with the Belgian butcher says all you need to know.

@@TheJoeGutsExpress Are you thinking of King Leopold II of Belgium? One of history’s ghastliest men, but he died in 1909. Prince Leopold of Bavaria (the racing driver) is still alive.
