I really like sonic's characterization here. He's got an attitude, but right when the conversation is about to end he stops joking around and understands the severity of the situation (he also ends up respecting master king koco). Moments like this make the character for me!

I got goosebumps when Master King said "Very well. Step forward and I shall temper you into my finest weapon." It's so deep. It looks like a villain sentence, a villain who uses someone as a puppet, but that's not really it.
