A fluffy white cat wants nothing more than to find the most comfortable spot in the universe,
but little does she know someone else has their eye on it too.
We meet Ditto, a fluffy plump and sleepy white cat. However, the universe seems out to get
her as she tries to find the most comfortable spot to take her nap. She finally falls upon the
most wonderful warm yellow cushion she's ever pounced upon. No spot has ever been so
comfortable. But little does she know a fuzzy winged intruder, Monty, has his eye on it too.
Monty is by no way bashful in disturbing Ditto's slumber. He is inherently attracted to warm
bright spots, but you'd think he'd stay loyal to the all-seeing light in the sky...but that cushion
is so goddamn comfy! Monty will go to any lengths to knock Ditto from that comfy spot, but at
what consequence?

OMG!!!! this was so CHARMING!!!! the fluid transitions between 2D and 3D animation styles are definitely eye catching but the way they help with the expressiveness of the characters and how lived in the environment is really frames the effort the team put into this!!!! especially loved the middle segment where the cat keeps throwing things at the moth with those ending up destroyed mid air, reminded me of fruit ninja!!! quite the nostalgic trip seeing that!! im guessing the end of the short is a reference to Schrodingers cat in a way?

Gorgeous little movie, very lovely. But what about the thumbnail? Who is still putting "HD" there? 4K I would understand, but 1080p was the bare minimum for any kind of content years ago, so it means nothing. Or is it one of those psychological thumbnail tricks, where only this HD increases your clickrate by X percent?

Cats and butterflies are wasting energy on trivial matters and have no time to explore and care about the vast sky outside. The price of comfort is anxiety, a point of contention Cats running around and destroying the house is just typical cat behavior, but it is also typical behavior of a person being too focused on their goal, losing their thoughts, and destroying everything around them. And it must be completed until the end, no matter how it turns out (in the movie the cat turns into a little butterfly).
