Why didn’t u go with this kit? What’s wrong with the sound?

@jason woodyard don't get me wrong, it sounds great. But it's a little TOO loud. For me, it's too much when I can hear it diving normally on the road. The ATAK is pretty loud on a cold start, but mellows out. You can hear it from a dead stop until you get up to speed, then it tapers out to a mild tone, but will definitely growl when you step on it. The AWE is almost constant. To me, it's the "everyone look at me with the loud truck" sound. That's the best way I can put it.

@@kuyaali956 that helps a lot. Lol. I have the borla s type on my old 5.3, but I’ve been debating on the awe for a few months. Thank you for your honesty.

@@jasonwoodyard5189 since you have the s-type, the Atak is about 2-3 times louders from cold start and normal driving. The one here is about 5-6 times louderish due to it being a true dual exhaust. I didn't see the need for a daily driver. I feel you would be just fine with the Atak.

I have not. Had it on over a year now without issue. I’d check and make sure there are no exhaust leaks at any of the seams

I think it would actually be worse in the garage due to the echo effect. It would certainly be loud early in the morning but not to where it's really bad. And now that I've put 4k on it, I know my neighbors still sleeping are just fine. It throttles down pretty quick

Last question… considering an AT4X over an AT4. Is it really worth the extra$? One more. If I go AT4… I like the idea of diesel mileage but would certainly miss the exhaust. Perhaps a Borland Sport would be better for my neighborhood. Love your channel l

@scottlevin1695 the extra 9-10k msrp it really depends on your wants/needs. I prefer the different/nicer interior, the massage seats are nice but not nice enough, if your going to use it having legit full front and rear lockers, the shocks are definitely a worthy upgrade but can also buy great ones aftermarket. For me it's worth it. The diesel apparently is amazing on mileage and the 6.2 is horrible but fun lol I traded a ram ecodiesel, loved the truck/engine but with the cost of diesel up so much more than gas and much much higher maintenance costs it's not cost effective anymore unless your all highway all the time and do all your own maintenance. The borla sport is still quite loud on start up, check @Donslife on here. He has that on an at4. Thank you good sir!

The diamond black tips are part of the "covid supply chain issues" apparently. Can get them would just be waiting for those themselves. I'm just going to paint them myself once we get another warm day

No not at all, it is still the same automotive paint where exhausts are close to it. At 3k miles with it now and no issues.
