Filmed on March 14, 2016: These things are so fun to ride!!! :D Very fast too. Installed in 1975, modernized in 2008.

For some reason, this was in recommended and decided to give it a look then nostalgia hit me. I remembered I rode these elevators back in 8th grade (with 8th grade classes) back in 2002 when they had old buttons and lights on it. Such a good memory!

Cool I caught a video of a Chicago elevator. Those elevators are phenomenal. I actually like the original set up but this set up is great too.

I was here a couple weeks ago (summer 17) and It was so crowded that we had to wait almost 10 minutes for an elevator!!!! I have ridden these a couple of times(I live in the metro area)

i love these elevators theres alot of lifts and they are glass u can see all the way up/down the shaft!

I rode these elevators back in July 2019 and they have newer fixtures and they were busy but they are nice Otis elevators.

I was here last Tuesday, and I found out these elevators are getting modernized again. Also if you're ever in Chicago again, check out the elevator in the Apple Store along the river. Youll see why in my video of it.

Hopefully the door timers won't take 30 seconds to close and also I hope the door close buttons will work.

This one has the original positioning system, notice the old chain-like cable attached to the elevator car

These elevators have since been modded again. Still pretty much the same, only the fixtures and controller equipment have been replaced.

I love going to this mall and riding the elevators all the time!! When I'm there they are super busy and always stop at EVERY. SINGLE. FLOOR. It drives me nuts!!!

I rode these elevators a few days ago and they were in INDEPENDENT SERVICE (except the express elevator) This caused so much confusion as other customers thought the elevators were stuck or broken since the call button would not call the elevators that go G-7 floors

Just like at the Highland Hospital, their blue elevators used to be touch sensitive buttons. Modernized by otis series 2

What is a Express Elevator?

The express elevator takes you directly to the floor without any stops in between the lowest and highest floors.

The door timers on those are ridiculous and the door close buttons do not work either which is even more annoying. These elevators are always AMAZING but BUSY
