I had this first hand. When I built my 6ft long 6 inch wide, 18 inch mouth, the machine ripped hard, and even after I had video of the 1 to 2 mm size pieces, it was scarce in the cleanout. I dug where my sluice connection point, between the mouth and channel, and there was my gold...not kidding! Make sure it's solid, and always take a shovel full from your kickout end, and run it one more time, before pulling sluice. Some say...never just allow water to flow over sluice, because it'll just wash out, when materials are not there, to smack the gold down! That zirconia was huge, the garnets were like Edmonton panning, and nice size gold you had. You owe me...I let every add play, and the longest was a 3 minute, 48 second long add on heating your home with tea lights and ceramic pots lol... Yep! Simple metal detector works because no matter what you have to dig every hit because there can be mis readings. Many with expensive md's don't dig every thing, so they do miss out..

My son finds gold in the Yellowstone river near our house in Montana. He uses of metal detector to find it. He also works a gravel pit on a friend’s ranch. He’s in Alaska now looking for halibut and salmon.

This economic geologist can tell you diamonds are moved and deposited in continental glacial features. They concentrate with heavy minerals and so too in sluices. There are even a few kimberlites near you, check it out!

Simple test for that "diamond". Many jewelry stores will have a diamond tester and can just check it for you. Nice recovery.

Impressive gold in this dig, and by the way I bet you have a very good chance of finding float Copper nuggets in that Till, BBsize up to 100+ pounders so i would encourage you to give that detector a work out , and some of the float copper is aloyed with silver some very high in silver , I have found many float copper nuggets with my detector in that kind of till

i'm glad you found a Area on the outside further up that had gold. The next time I go up there I'll have to bring The detector. and yes you don't want to fall into the water because there's too many slippery rocks. But at least you wouldn't have a group of people laughing at you Like I did when I took a tumble in the water this fall there.

Being in Wisconsin too I found your video very interesting. I wonder, did you separate those magnetics wet? I'm under the impression you can drag a magnet on a river bed and pan the stuff you pull up as since it's wet it sticks a bit. Also that magnetics are best separated dry by waving the magnet above it a few inches above and 'feathering' the materials out.

Nice size garnets and looks like great spot...the metal detectors that's popular are the gold bug2 and the monster...one is better for deep as in foot or so and the other is close to the surface...unfortunately I just have the gold finder or something like that but never finds gold...lol

With my knowledge with that much flour gold if there was a way you can go deeper you might hit some nuggets in those banks you might want to try digging deeper or find some big boulders and moving them and then dig
