Trainers are really only for use during the off season. I don't think many people prefer indoor riding over outdoor riding, it's just something you can do when it's not feasible to ride outside.

Так, нытики, меняем резину и смазку, или садимся на фэтбайк и погнали по лыжне, у нас на Камчатке гоняют по лыжне чувачки на великах только шум стоит. Так что - 20° это "дыркавжопе" =оправдание, то есть есть у каждого.

I mean the entire idea of a direct drive trainer is that half of the operation is the bike you already presumably own. You can get full featured direct drive trainers for $500 now, as far as gym equipment is concerned that's pretty good. I mean I cancelled my gym membership and bought a trainer which costs less than a full year of gym memberships. I wanted to train on the off season, didn't want a full exercise bike, and got a trainer. As far as hobby and fitness costs go, it's certainly not that high up on the respective costs. A trainer costs less than a treadmill. Idk what makes it "premium cardio" it costs less than a lot of peoples wheelsets. I mean if anything is premium cardio it's anyone who rides a bike that's more than $3k. I'm out here putitng my $1200 steel bike on a $700 trainer. My setup is cheaper than most treadmills.

This is a real outdoor bike; indoor trainers make it possible for you to ride your bike indoors instead of having to use an exercise bike. It’s not always realistic or convenient to ride outdoors; it was -20°C yesterday.
