Thanks for the info! What are the dimensions? We finally got back to FL to try some things. Besides playing with the sonar in different situations, I will be making battery boxes w/fuses, USB, cigarette lighter adapter, etc. I use ammo boxes from Harbor Freight as the base. I wonder if that battery would fit in a large box. If not, maybe a small car/marine/lawnmower box.

I wish I lived in FL... until maybe July when it is far hotter than here :-) The dimensions are 10 x 7.8 x 5.15. Small footprint!

@@KayakhacksFishing Thanks. We don't actually live in FL. We live in East TN about 45 min from Gatlinburg. If we could be snowbirds, we would be. FL bugs are brutal. April - Aug are bad for them. We are on the N Gulf Coast (St George Island area). Nice beaches, bays, bayous, rivers, and creeks. Lots of wildlife where we are and lots of fish (though no snook here that I know of - bummer). The county ((Franklin) has only 1.5 traffic lights (small and laid back). I highly recommend visiting sometime - best time (IMO) is in the fall as nice temperature and fewer bugs 😁

@@2reelyakrz481 We always enjoy going to family reunions at my brother's home in Watercolor - about 2 hours north from you. But... we have not found the fish there yet! 🙂

@@KayakhacksFishing I don't know where that is unless you're talking about an area between Panama City Beach and Destin. If you are, the ocean would have the same fish we have. I don't believe that area has as many rivers and creeks though. I could point you to some great kayaking and shore areas anywhere between Mexico Beach and St Mark's. And some decent bigger boat spots out of Destin. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with much outside those areas. My wife and I need to explorimicate more - wish we had the time.

Pretty good deal right now at $240. No downsides so far. I sold off my larger one.

$240 battery when you can get an outboard for the same price!!

Yes, but you have to compare it to the cost of a Marine Deep Cycle of the same capacity while understanding that, as a result of something called "Depth of Discharge," you only get half the usable capacity. So a 100Ah Marine is really only good for 50Ah
