I have been waiting for the release of the Kyosho Mini-z 4x4 since they announced it and am super excited it is finally released. I am also impressed with the level of detail and the actually driving experience with it for a 1/24 scale RC. It's impressive. Some of you know that I had bought the Toyota 4-runner version when it came out along with Kyosho Terrain Plates. To put it nicely, I wasn't impressed with the Terrain Plates for the $75 I paid for them and that soured me to the Mini-Z 4x4 at that time. I didn't even open the 4-runner until today when I opened the Jeep. I had planned to sell it and burn the Terrain Plates (because I couldn't in good conscience sell them to anyone). Luckily, I didn't burn them or sell the Toyota because these little 1/24 scale trucks are so impressive (the terrain is still worth $75, but it is portable and usable with these vehicles). I find that the Jeep does handle better with its longer wheel base and is less likely to tip forward than the Toyota. But, both have great handling and control over throttle and steering. A few mods and the Toyota can be more capable as well.
These are going to he hard to find online, but can be picked up in some hobby shops that still have them in stock. That's the best place to shop anyway.
