Dude, that Puck Man remix was siiiiick!! I'm listening with surround sound, and my sub was hitting all the right bass-y goodness, haha! Perhaps my neighbors hate me... It is indeed, and there are so many other shops, arcades, bars, and restaurants in the area that we'll often just hang out in Ikebukuro all day and all night.

I wanted to take it home with me, lol. Only thing, why put it in front of the bathrooms? You'd think they could find a better place for it. Or, maybe have Pac-man in front of the men's room and Ms. Pac-man in front of the lady's? Just a thought.

Great video! My older brother had that exact mini PAC-Man game! (Of course, it wasn’t Puck-Man.) He got it for one of his birthdays literally like 40 years ago, and we both had a blast playing it! I’m not good at UFO machines either; I don’t think most people are.

are those crane games actually winnable? Like are they on a certain algorithim to clinch harder after a while because those looked spot on grabs but it looks beyond flimsy when it tries to "grab" haha; anyway keep up the great work!!

You have to put the edge of the crane next to the item, not the center. Because it loses a ton of force the closest to center. rinse and repeat.

I'm sure if I drained about 1000 yen in each machine I could win something, but I was saving my coins for Initial D, and for the eventual walk over to Mikado.

There are different techniques for each kind of prize. There are some YT channels that explain it to you. Also, those are not made for you to lose, like in the ones we usually see on the West.

I won a big Dragon Quest Slime plush from a UFO catcher at a game center on my birthday a few years ago and gave it to my daughter. They are winnable, but I think their grip is intentionally random. Mostly they just caress the objects.

Nice RHH T-shirt! I'm a Gunma goon myself. I haven't really sought out very many game arcades, but so far the best is Gunma Leisure Land in Isesaki. They have some cool 2D arcade games on those cabinets in which you can select your game. There are batting cages, ping pong tables, and even a fishing pond inside. Long row of gachapon machines too. It's fun to visit every once in a while, but I haven't been there for a couple of years, since before the virus scare began.

Really cool arcade!! I just find it weird that Namco doesn't have any of its classic games in its own arcade like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Mappy, Dig-Dug or at least one Class of 81 cabinet.

That's what I was wondering watching the video. Where are the classics? I mean they could easily add Pacman Arcade Party Cabinet that has these classics, or better yet Pacman Pixel Bash Cabinet. I'm watching through this whole video looking for Mappy.

Are arcades the only place there are games in Japan? As opposed to back in the day you'd find games in pizza places. Convenient stores, bars, etc in the US. Just curious

Yeah, pretty much. There's the odd barcade here and there, but if you want to play arcade games you'll mostly need to go to game centers like this one.

Are you there as a tourist? Were you able to get into that country? I’m hearing their government is going full commie and closing the border to tourists and I’ve wanted to visit Japan for a while.

Not a tourist, been here about 10 years altogether. Visa holders are being let in, tourism will probably resume first quarter of next year.
