two things: 1. you should change that doorknob for that door next to your tank to one of those slim flip out rings which makes your door have a clean look plus you're still able to flip it out and turn it in case you need to get in there, 2. where do you get all that acrylic?? is there a good old wholesaler online that ships them? I've seen acrylic sheets in stores and they are not cheap and they are not at all that big. Thanks! Love the vids!

Ok, I am now officially worried about the cobalt neotherm heater I have in my reef tank, it is a 200 W one. The thought of it exploding and killing everything scares the living daylights out of me. What heater do you recommend? I have one in my sump, a cheap one. I use a constant heat-cool cycle (fan on the tank and heater in the sump on 24x7). My temp is locked at 77 F (1 up or down depending on "huge" outside weather fluctuations). There have been cases if the weather gets too cold (let's say at night, I leave windows open and it drops down), then I need a backup heater in the display tank to make sure the temp won't drop too low, hence the cobalt neotherm heater as it has a digital thermometer, shows the display tank temp and is very narrow and sleek looking. But watching you talk about how it blew up, I am scared now. What heater do you recommend?

I think we all have the same question . That door to the left of the new tank that u cannot fully open anymore... Where does it go and why is it ok blocked like that? You have another way in? To bring in tanks etc?
@ivanfreely6366

The door on the left opens INTO the furnace room. I agree in that if he tore down that wall, he could have moved the door to a different location.
@thekingofdiy
@thekingofdiy 8 жыл бұрын
Impossible. On the other side of the tank is a support. On the other side of the support is duct work. So it was either put the door where it is, or the tank started there. It looks way worse than it is. Definitely will touch base on that in a following video.

Nice channel,Subbed..i have a question..do you really need an Air pump in a 150L tank with 3 goldfish in it?..i have a VERY good Fluval tank filter thats rated capable of twice the size of my tank so..the reason i ask is because air pumps are just too noisy :(
@CrazyCamo
@CrazyCamo 8 жыл бұрын
wow, that's quite a bit of space for 3 lil goldies. Now I'm not really a pro here or anything like that, but I do have a couple years on experience and testing under my belt. I really don't think you need an air pump in your case. If anything, can you raise the water to a level of the water return line so that it creates some bubbles>? But what I really meant to share with you was my first test with fish 2 years ago. I put a 20 gallon pond on my roof with a solar pump and 3 feeder goldfish from Petco. 2 of the fish died mysteriously after a few months, the last goldfish is still alive. All I ever did was add water from evaporative loss. I might have cleaned the filter once or twice.. The filter, was not really a filter lol, just a mechanical filter to prevent solids from entering the impeller. If you have the air filter, why not use the bubbles in a way that you find esthetically pleasing? Set them up on a timer or a switch and channel the air in creative ways!
