Supposedly they're all supposed to be reflective of him to some capacity. They're largely toys reflecting his child like nature. Blockman, gadgets, Marshmallon is like a plush etc. The Silent Swordsman/Magician archetypes are supposed to represent his shyness. Gandorah is supposed to represent a child's temper tantrum. Even the magician girls from the movie might be reflective of Yugi to some extent (the early Manga touched on how he was a bit of a perv).

I personally disagree. They've already gotten retrains and their own archetypes and not only that, the support that Yugi's getting is based on the cards that he used in the manga version of the Ceremonial Duel.

Unless you’re referring to Archfiends, in that case it’s not even his archetype, just a case of Konami’s habit of making the English names not fit the archetype they’re in (ex: Rainbow Dragon being an Ultimate Crystal card)

@@hungerxhunger2548 I've been training with it on edopro. I replaced the older cards with the newer one but kept the others in like Buster Blader, Summoned Skull and such. Before, I had the deck card for card plus good staples, even the extra deck, just so it could keep up.

I mean they did make one of them an actual monster. They just need to tie another dragon form to their respective duelists' archetypes. Have Kiba's focus of fusion using his card type, Joey with his, and maybe make a spell or something to allow you to cheat the warriors out by using their dragon forms as cost or condition.

They’ve always had synergy. The manga and anime prove this. Word you are looking for is consistency.

It's basically a Protect the Castle control/ramp deck. Most of the cards have effects that protect each other, but they only work as long as you can keep Gold Sarcophagus around. The idea seems to be that you spend the early game building up your protections, then go in with the monsters like the dragon/fortress/silents who get more powerful in the mid-late game.

He never saw Capsule Monsters

A lot of decks yugi used other than DM need that sweet sweet support. And he used way too many decks (gandora, exodia, buster blader, gaia, etc etc)

It needs to be used in the Battle Phase for the draw effect, plus you'll also be required to run at least one copy of another card from the batch, and then you can't have already drawn that card. If you can't search then the card is dead and can't be played. So yeah, it's not gonna be that useful out of archetype.

You are wrong. Read the source manga version of Yugi vs Atem.

The move was always meant to reference card if sanctity. The only reason spell textbook was used in the anime was because they were trying to follow the rules of the official game a lot more closely and since card of sanctity is a normal spell, they couldn’t use it in the battle phase so to circumvent it, spell textbook was used. Plus spell textbook’s effect led Yugi to using card of sanctity so that’s very clearly the reference trying to be made.

On October 25, 2016, Kazuki Takahashi released a "This is just one possible future story" concept idea set 4 years after the events of the manga canon sequel The Dark Side of Dimensions on his Studio Dice instagram account. In the story, Takahashi confirmed to us that Yugi did not become the new Game King after beating Atem. Why? He stated: "ここから武藤遊戯は新たなる遊戯王=GAME KING を目指し旅立つのであった〜！" Translation: "From now on Yugi Mutou becomes the new Yuugi Ou = GAME KING has departed for his goal~!" The creators words are law. Not Toei, Bandai, Konami, NAS/Gallop, 4Kids. Yugi is NOT the Game King NOR the true Game King. There is no "true" Game King. There are multiple Game King's in history. Sugoroku was his era's. Yami Yugi is the titular Game King in Takahashi's story. Since the Spherium II futute story is only a concept, Yugi is not the new Game King. The fact Takahashi went out of his way to state it in this story confirms he wasn't the Game King after beating Atem nor held the title in The Dark Side of Dimensions. It is only AFTER that.
