Its actually easy to catch pigeon even with your bare hands. Just drop a lot of bread crumbs right under your feet while you sitting on bench near pigeons and wait when they come to eat. Usually they doesnt come all ,so wait when there at least 10 cocky pigeons. Once they really busy eating just slowly move your hands down to them and quickly grab one from behind. Worked for me 3 times. Just grab tight but not too strong. And watch out for their claws. Also catching diseased pigeon not good idea.
