Can't believe no reactors are touching Danzig. You're the man for this for sure!. You will love his massive catalogue, that covers 30+ years and a couple bands. I think missT will be down as well."How the Gods kill" is a gooder.

Devil’s Plaything, Under Her Black Wings, Tired of Being Alive, I’m the One. Can’t go wrong with any of these from the album? Great blues based metal from Evil Elvis himself, Glenn Danzig! Great stuff brother! Love your reviews!

My buddie and I bought this on cassette the day it came out, ate a bunch of Acid and drove around with this playing for 12 hours straight through the mountains of WV. Man, to live those days again. Sorry for the drug reference, but very true story, and just remembering when it came out.... lol...

Simple straight forward rock/metal. Very authentic voice. I remember 'Dirty Black Summer' from them, watching Headbangers Ball, a classic.

When I was in high school in the 90s I dated a girl who introduced me to Danzig/Samhain/The Misfits (all Glenn Danzig projects) along with other bands like Type O Negative/Carnivore. True story, the ONLY one of my exes all these years later that I still talk to from time to time. On a similar side note I find people I knew who had amazing tastes in music, but weren't judgmental (unless it rightfully deserves it), towards what others listened to back then are so, so much easier to get along with today. They just remain chill people. And I have to add Danzig is A-FREAKING-MAZING live. If you get a chance (if and when the world ever returns to normal) to see Danzig do it!

Yeah I am SO pissed I missed out! I believe even before this Covid mess that he said no more touring. What you have now is Evil Elvis albums haha. He said he was thinking of doing the nightclub thing. More intimate.😈 Ah well. Dudes 65yrs old! Ugh! I just turned 60. I took one of those stupid tests supposed to tell you your brain age. 30-39! Yeah Bob! My grandkids and I talk about music all the time.🤘
@chaospoet3 жыл бұрын
@@laurametheny1008 It pains me to hear you didn't get to see him live. I had the opportunity to see him twice around Halloween, which just made it that much more appropriate to be seeing him. The second show was my favorite. He played the entire Danzig 3 album from start to finish along with awesome tracks just before doing so like Hammer of the Gods and Mother. Then just to up the ante for an encore he brought out Doyle from The Misfits and did a half hour Misfits set. In my top 5 best shows I've ever seen without question. Like I said in my original comment he was unbelievable live.

Danzig is one of VERY few artists that don't fit into any one genre. He is a musical genius. You can pick literally any song from the first four albums and absolutely love every one of them. Much of his latter work is also great, some of which I consider his best. Some of my favorite songs of all time are: Ashes, Black Candy, Cold Eternal, Am I Demon, Pull the Sun, The Coldest Sun, Sacrifice, Five Finger Crawl, Going Down to Die (you should definitely do a review of this one), 13, How the Gods Kill. There are so many to choose from but, start with these and enjoy.

"I Don't Mind the Pain". Fabulous song and unbelievable vid. Gotta see it! And "Can't Speak". "Am I Demon". Crazy "Until You Call on the Dark" and "Killer Wolf".🤘🎃 "Mother" of course you HAVE to do that one. Augie has a comp vid out that's mixed with a Hellraiser sequel for Am I Demon that's damn good.
