Hi! Thank you for making your topics so accessible. I have watched topics that I am already confident in and have come away with knowing more about it! I'm an Architect in Washington, DC with an international firm. There is a lot of great Revit talent here, but the ones who know the most seem to be the least socially adjusted. I intend on being a Autodesk Revit Professional, but have some real gaps in my knowledge. Thank you for all that you do!

Hi I am an architect in Washington DC. I am usually involved in the “front end” design work at my firm (a firm of about 125 people). I have largely thought myself revit and continue to learn everyday. I was happy to learn you are in Munich because that’s is a place where we have been doing some work. Munich is a lovely place! Best of luck with your channel.

Hey! Cool, teaching yourself Revit ! What was your strategy with that? Did you watch videos/read blogs or did you just do it by trial and error? In your office, do you also use some other 3D modeling software like ArchiCAD or is Revit the most common in the US? Yay, Munich :) what kind of project did you do here? Soo many questions haha, you don't have to answer all of them ;)

That BIM Girl hi. We use Revit as our main platform. For conceptual design we have rhino and sketchup which we also use for rendering. Some in the office use 3DStudio Max but they are in the small minority. We have lumion (which I love) vray and enscape. The last two we have for revit and sketchup. I used Lynda.com videos to give myself a foundation but now I mostly go to you tube and read blogs to learn new things in revit. My project in Munich is actually in Haimhausen north of Munich. It is beautiful there. Cheers.

Hi to Algeria! Cool! Maybe this would be a good way for you to use Dynamo: whenever you are doing something boring or repetitiv in Revit, try to find out how you can use Dynamo to complete the task...In the beginning it will take more time to do it in Dynano than to do it manually, because you have to research it etc.. but you will learn and after a while you will start to save time! :)

I am a civil engineer from Germany and working as BIM Manager for one of the biggest GC's in Europe. One of my hardest tasks it was to transform IFC breakthroughs into Revit breakthroughs with dynamo. Furthermore I created some dyn-scripts to create BCFs for each breakthrough (automatically). Within dynamo I can read the collected information from the BCF platform to put some important information back into my breakthrough instances to use them for other bim-based topics. I like dynamo and work with a lot. Thank you for showing me these cool and helpful tips :)

Nice work, one comment though... I believe the correct terminology is that you create "graphs" in Dynamo (Visual Programming), it is only if you work in textual programming like Python or C# that you create/write "scripts". It is a common mistake to confuse the two though. Ohh yea and I'm a student at the Technical University of Denmark

Great tips! started out in auditing with a real addiction to excel and macros and then went into architecture. When I saw that dynamo could be used within Revit, it was such a great way to bring that side of my brain back into finding quicker or easier ways to do something. In fact, as a side project, I am building an app in the Filemaker platform to make Input creation and Structrural Code check(Eurocodes etc) for GtStrudl easier. I would like to use Dynamo to extract the coordinates of the Structural Elements and then the member loads etc. It would be great if you create a video showing these kind of things!!!
