The vanilla flowers have to be pollinated by hand in those farms because the bees that pollinate the vanilla flowers in the wild only live in Mexico (melipona bee), the vanilla plants were transported everywhere but nobody took the bees with them 😂

@@hugo5149 I read of one species that only habited the Mayan region (Yucatan Peninsula, Guatemala, Belice and Honduras) (there are several melipona species). I looked it up and apparently scientists think that that bee isn't the real pollinator of the vanilla. I wonder why is there still doubt about the natural pollinators of vanilla, there are still wild populations of vanilla in Mexico! someone has to look closer 🤔

@@fenrirgg Yeah I own a few hives of Meliponas, Jataí (Tetragonisca angustula) and uruçú (Melipona scutellaris), the Melipona bees have one of the best honeys in the world, very strong and medicinal.

😳😳😳😳😳😳 🙉🙉🙉🙉🙉🙉🙉 Очень трудоёмкий процесс ☝☝☝ Было интересно посмотреть , потому что я даже не представляла как получают Ваниль..... Я вижу, что рабочие очень трепетно относятся к этим стручкам Ванили, наверное у них это самая высокооплачиваемая работа в их регионе ☝. I grow vanilla in my garden. It’s considered “difficult and slow growing plant” if you grow regular plants. It’s also considered as “an easy and fast growing plant” if you grow tropical species or orchids. They like humidity but don’t tolerate soaking wet leaves very well. My vanilla is still small but it often has new leaves.

Скажите, а разновидности орхидей , которые растут на окнах - они тоже могут давать ваниль🤔🤔😊? У моей сестры много феленопсисов растет на окне и они у неё цветут всегда, только она их не опыляет .... 🙂 Я может несу чепуху, потому что мы плох что понимаем в таких цветпх как орхидеи - для нас это больше экзотические цветы 😊😊

If a recipe calls for vanilla extract or a vanilla bean, I ALWAYS use a bean. The difference it makes is incredibly difficult in a good way. I know the beans are expensive. But to support those workers that do it all by hand, I don’t mind.

I'm pretty sure most of those money go to the large resellers in the world and none reach the actual bare feet workers on the field. You know, like with any other reality of farming whatever you can think of. 🤷‍♂

Buy the beans and make an endless amount of your own vanilla extract. You can use different alcohols. Spiced rum is really wonderful. Use a few beans to make some Vanilla Sugar if you want to up your baking game. Seriously, it changes Everything!

Nope no fragrance during that time. Slight Fragrance will come when pod gets ripened and full fragrance will come during drying the pod. It will be there for an year on clothes also which used for drying.

I bet it smells amazing in there lol. Also for real Vanilla I wouldn't mind spending more money on it because it's worth it. And yeah I know they have imitation Vanilla that's a lot cheaper but the flavor will never come close as the real thing. That's why I always use real Vanilla. It's 100 times better.
