VOA have been around for 30 years but this current line-up came together in 2017 and they have gone from strength to strength ever since. They always had a seafaring vibe in their music and really good life lessons and messages in their music. Wonderers was a great album, and then they followed that up with Pirates and they adopted the pirate look and That album was mindblowing and from the 2 singles from Pirates II: Armada, it seems like they will exeed that one again. My favorite songs rom them is Winternight, The Last Home, Return To Lemuria, Armada, Clocks, Melancholy Angel and Pirates Will Return.

Just saw them live in Ottawa last month, and they were awesome! Both singers are great!

Visions of Atlantis is another of those great symphonic metal bands. They always have a pirate theme and their videos are complex and interesting. Then you have Clementine on vocals and you always get a great listen.

Hi! You definitely have to check out " Master the Hurricane" & "Melancholy Angel" ... VoA is such a great band with deep lyrics and a very strong stage performance. You have to see them live :D ~Julia

Love this band. The best part is that their voices harmonize so well together. Listen to the song Legion of the seas where they sing more together.

Monsters is very similar to their song Melancholy Angel in that both songs are about shedding negative aspects of ourselves to live a better life. I also love their song Clocks which is about making the most of the time that we have. The other songs people have mentioned below are also very solid picks!

Thank you for this profound description far from superficiality! Visions of Atlantis is one of the best bands in symphonic metal nowadays! The band has its own KZfaq Channel, you can find more wonderful videos and songs! They just finished a 5 weeks sucsessful tour through USA/CAN. The new album "Armada"will be released on July 5th (via Napalm Records) 😊
