100% agree with you. At the end - when she said "I felt heard" it meant so much and touched me as well. She is so amazing - I have watched all 3 of her performances over and over and never get tired of them. She is a world class singer and I can't wait to see her star shine bright.

From what I understand Sydnie had been taking courses in pursit of becoming a personal trainer. It was time to put her dreams behind her and get on with life. BGT was going to be the end or hopefully the extension of her dream. This is why you see such pure joy in her face when Amanda pushes on that "Golden Buzzer". Unadulterated, pure joy is hard to come by on these days. That's why I find myself watching this 3-5 times a day just to see the shock on her face, then that broad ear to ear smile when she realizes her dream isn't coming to an end. It's not over, the audience loves her. I cannot even fathom how that must have felt. How often do we get to see complete and utter joy on someone's face?

There are times when the stars aline and magic happens. This is one of those moments!

I will tell you Sam, that I have seen Many, Many, singing auditions on talent shows (I'm 81 so I've been around), and this is one of my all time favorites. This young woman checks All the boxes. She is affable, vulnerable, lovely, incredibly funny, and an extraordinary talent. I agree with Amanda; that's my all time favorite version of this classic song. And it appears Simon feels the same. And it's not even a song he likes. I'm pulling for her to win. But I'm also hoping people in charge at the West End saw this, and give her the break she deserves. She's got the voice and the audience (voting) behind her, so it comes down to choosing the best songs. I'm hoping she sings "She Used to Be Mine" at some stage of the competition. She is the only one who performed this song in the way it deserves, and she excelled in it with her talent, voice, and artistic abilities and made it a song with a different taste....

When Sydnie took the stage, I thought she appeared to be an easy going quirky young lady. Enter a smile. Then, she started her humorous banter, without any of the typical drivel or drama, with the judges and my smile incorporated laughter. She named her song and I thought "uh, oh," remembering Simon's dislike for it. Then, she began to sing. I got chills, an incredible wave of emotion and tears. She changed one word in the lyrics to change the feel of the song. The line "only a day away' had the word "only" substituted for "always." The kid's song from Annie is not supposed to do all of that. This is a mature, grownup version. I will never think of "Tomorrow" in the same light. Sydnie set the bar. WOW! Theater awaits, or any other arena. That girl has personality and pipes! BTW, the overlaid "Over The Rainbow" is performed by Loren Allred. Ironically, that version of the song is the one Sydnie sang in the final.

I have heard Jimmy Herrod sing this song in AGT before and he got golden buzzer from Sophia Vergara. I have also heard the renowned singer Lea Salonga sang this song. Marisha Wallace also did an excellent version of this song. And now Sydnie Christmas. My verdict is Sydnie Christmas version is magical. She does not only sing the song. She draws you into the song with all the emotions. It is really beautiful. I can hear sing this song a hundred times and i still enjoy it tremendously.

Everyone saying it’s a fix as she has already worked on the west end as a cast member in Starlight Express. Unfortunately that didn’t last because of Covid so has to start all over again, other wise she wouldn’t have to work as front desk at a gym if she could get jobs in same profession. So interesting that they played Over The Rainbow, sung by Loren Allred, who also got a Golden Buzzer from Amanda on BGT 2022. But this girl is pretty much a complete unknown, whereas Loren was known as the voice behind Never Enough to some people.

For another reaction, I am highly recommending Tori Holub, a 20-year-old female vocalist from Minnesota. She is also a musician and audio engineer. She sings everything including originals, but her most compelling performances are those of the Carpenters. You would be in for the surprise of a lifetime. If you are familiar with the carpenters, please just react to We've Only Just Begun, collaboration with Tori and Jim Wilkas. If you are not familiar, perhaps play Karen Carpenter's original at the beginning of the reaction or just listen on your own before you react to Tori. I’d believe COVID took her prime 23-27year stage away! She’s so lucky she’s still 28 and can still have a singing career to a settle down generation. It’s good to because in her 23-27year days, she would have to be in hip-hop or just pop songs. I heard some of her pop and it didn’t suit her well. It didn’t magnify her vocal range! She needs to be in Big Orchestra Theaters singing masterfully!
