I'm liking my Delano Peak. Lockout on fireroads is key. Heavyish for a carbon frame. Base build brakes were so/so. I dropped the chainring to a 30t which helped me a lot. All in all a very strong bike about $1000 under priced due to direct to consumer.

Awesome review and great production! Never a moment where I tuned out which is saying something for a 16 min video haha. I'm eager to see the La Sal build you mentioned coming in the future. I'm currently trying to decide between the Delano and the La Sal and your guys' input on both bikes could potentially help a lot!

Nice review as always. Lots of great bikes in this price range though they are alloy (Ripmo AF/Ripley AF, Sentinel, Hightower, Stumpjumper, etc.). Delano recommendation sounds very similar to why you recommended the Ripley AF.

Would be interesting to compare to the Ripmo, I am going to the Fruita Fat Tire festival in May so will hopefully be able to demo some Fezzaris.. The "poppy playful but active" sounds right inline with the high progression horst links used by Rocky Mountain and Transition, or a cascade linked Ripmo.

Very similar to the Ripmo but more playful while at the same time some how tracking slightly better. However more of a trail bike feeling as opposed to the more AM feeling of the Ripmo if that makes sense!

Random advice about clipless: use flats early-season and on unfamiliar trails, then try clipless after your fitness is good and you are familiar. The main reason being that you can not walk easily with cleats on, so if you think you might be on foot at all, go with flats. Clipless are great once you know you won't be walking, because you can power through everything without losing your footing. Personally, I think they make me faster.

So, after spending a lot of time on the V2 Ripmo, in terms of two things, how would you compare the Delano Peak. 1. Does the rear feel more planted and lack that "sticky" feeling in rock gardens vs the V2? 2. Does it have a more 'bottomless" feel even at 135mm travel? I actually have the V1, and I've become increasingly disappointed in the performance of the rear linkage, and I'm trying to identify a bike that I can pedal all day, but will still be able to get rowdy without feeling so harsh on the descents with rocks/jumps/drops. Thoughts? (BTW...I guided my brother toward this bike, and he has the L now, and LOVES it...got the blue one.)

Feels a little bit more planted and bottomless than the Ripmo but the Ripmo was also a great bike! Different personalities for sure. Ripmo feels a little more All-mountain while Delano feels more like a trail bike!

I would be interested in an honest comparison there. I've yet to find a bike that pedals better than my Ripmo, and I've heard the Ripley and Exie are even better still on the pedaling side.

Slightly more bob in initial stoke however feels more efficient in tech sections as well as out of the saddle hard effort if that makes sense? I would say overall they are tied -Mo

Oval chainring is no problem! We recommend a 30t, but have seen people get away with a 32.

Not really an apples to apples comparison. Delano is a rowdy trail bike, Ripmo is an Enduro-y All mountain bike. Delano is almost certainly lighter and a hair smaller, but I doubt it would carry the same downhill speed as the Ripmo, which has a reputation for being an absolute rocketship downhill. Delano is almost certainly poppier in stock form, the Ripmo isn't terribly poppy without a cascade lnk

Hi! thanks for the review on this bike. I called Fezzari the other day to ask some questions, and they asked how I found out about their bike. I told 'em your channel, so hopefully that helps you out! :) Question for you on sizing on the Delano, if you wouldn't mind? I have seen some other people comment that Fezarri's sizes run small in general. In general with Fezarri's sizes, if someone is on the edge of being between sizes, would you lean towards sizing up or down? I know you said you're 6'2" and on the XL. I'm 6 foot flat and technically am a L. But just looking at the reach and effective top tube, it sounds like it's a pretty small cockpit compared to other bikes of the same size. And maybe the geo numbers make the cockpit sound smaller than it is because the seat tube is so much steeper than other bikes??? Have you felt the cockpit feels small relative to other XL bikes you've ridden? Thank you!!

Hey thanks for that! It does feel a little smaller than other bikes in terms of reach however at 6'2 it feels perfect! You are right in between both sizing wise but can make either work (large with larger stem or XL with shorter stem)! If I were you I would probably go with the XL with shorter stem but that's just me! -Mo

Nice setup. The X01 cassette (1295) is a good bit lighter also. A budget combo is X01 crank, 1295 X01cassette and GX shifter. Just sayin.

We are not sponsored by PNW, we just used to work with them and know the post works so we went with them again! We want to try the OneUp but droppers are tough to experiment with because if they fail you are kind of out of luck when traveling. Hopefully we can try one soon with a spare!

I have a 2021 abajo peak. When I hear people talk about Fezzari they always mention the great customer service. I don't know why , it's terrible! Even before I ordered it took them 3 days to respond to a simple question, that should have been my first red flag. When I ordered it, I was told it would take 3 months to get it to me, it took over 6 and every inquiry about my bike was met with a link to the "new bike day" widget that I already had and just kept updating to the next month. Finally they email me some bullshit about my bike coming, no acknowledgement that it's almost 4 months late, just "hey be happy your bike is on it's way" So It finally shows up and it's a very different bike going from an old 26" hardtail to a new full squish 29er and Iv'e got 30 days to decide if I want to keep it, that's part of the "customer service" I guess and more importantly part of the reason I took a chance buying the bike online. It arrived in late December when it's 30 below and the trails are goomed for fat bikes then all the snow melts and the trails are underwater for a month and then they have to be dry because the mud here is super slick and you can get about 20 before theres so much mud packed between the rear tire and the seat tube that you cant move.... Anyway Fezzari customer service is a joke so don't be fooled. Id like to be able to at least say it's a good bike but Ihaven't been able to ride it yet. So save yourself the trouble and go down to the local bike dealer (f trek tho). You can ride the bike and it won't take 6 months to get. end of rant thanks.

(lol) I wouldn't be here bitchin about it if I had even gotten one email explaining the situation or ya know mabey throw a tshirt and a sorry its 3 months late note, in the box... When you talk up you customer service like they do, you better back it up. I could go on but ill leave it at that.
