Yea it's shit now in comparison. I think things started to go downhill mid to late 00s. Funnily enough when smartphones and social media took off. Before everyone started carrying knives and trying to start shit all the time. I miss the clubs I used to DJ at until.. yeah the knives and people always wanting to start shit. Too bad really. We used to head downtown at close to midnight and club till they threw us out at 3AM and we'd taxi back to the dorm and listen to some Essential Mixes. If you haven't already throw on Disney Dinosaur without the sound and I think Chicane live from Saltwater is the best mix to put on but it's a great movie to throw chill\come-down trance or house mixes over. In later years we'd have the bouncers showing up at our college house all G'd out and again that was another reason why I took a hard left into Drum and Bass. More underground venues and more E so less fights and more hugs and light shows. :)
