Awkward first vlog in Finland [northern lights]

Hi,
My name is Sleepy and I am from Germany, now living in the US as a live-streamer!
I like cats (specifically mine, leafy & mochi) and coffee and actively finding enjoyment by doing random things. Also, this is my first vlog! We have a large bucketlist to go through this year so we better get started:

The "industrial" versions are a bit like bread so you have to have something on it, hotels probably have eggbutter thing but already real butter melted on em will add enough moist and salt to em. Like my grandmother never served em with eggbutter, always with butter only and when she made em from the leftover porridge you needed nothing really except maybe butter. For a foreigner used to wheat bread only the "light colored" ones are probably better for you or then find a bakery that makes em fresh and has a little cafe(hotels and restaurants can have old ones that they just heat up or serve cold, maybe there is one that really makes em themselves from scratch but in today's world I doubt that).

First re-heat in micro if cold, then add some butter and/or eggbutter. Or butter + slice of cheese + salami. Nam! The gift was a bit thoughtless, IMHO.

Funny how literally everyone who tries karelian pie first time try it dry. You supposed to put some munavoi (spread made of butter and hard boiled eggs) on top of it. Enjoyed your vlog! We really don't eat bear meat :D

next trip to Finland, I recommend that you check out the ship cruises to see the beautiful landscapes of the archipelago here in southern Finland. spring or midsummer is the best time to see the scenery and the sea of the archipelago. 😅

Why does every foreigner eat those Karelian pies "raw". I mean they're cooked but they don't put anything on top of them. It's basically just rice and dough. I guess they eat plain bread as well. I usually put garlic cream cheese, ham, liver pate, edam cheese (or similar), tomatoes or bell peppers etc. on top of those. (Not all at the same time, depends what I happen to have).

@@sleepwalkeronline Here you go: put toppings on it. In basic form you use just egg butter but you can put anything you like: bacon, eggs, cheese etc. Think of sandwiches and improvise, more the better. The pie is just a base to build on, just like a pizza, nobody eats pizza without a single topping.

Glad to hear. For most if not all it's like a dread to do the cold plunge, but the feeling afterwards is rewarding enough to do it again. But the first time must have felt weird.
