Outtake from my EUROCRIME! documentary with longtime dubber Ted Rusoff -- and with tough-guy film expert Mike Malloy setting up the clip, being more verbose than the clip itself. But it's not just hee-haw-funny anecdotes that are important; context and perspective count for something too!

The out of print book "Dictionnaire du western italien by Gian Lhassa (1983) has 7 pages of actors real names and their pseudonyms and aliases. Joseph SCROMBOGNA was Sleepy Warren, Barta Barri was New Fuzzy, Ana Maria Miserocchi was Helen Wart, Fernanda Dell’Acqua was Fern Water (she was the sister of the famous Dell'Acqua brothers).

I like the way Alfonso Brescia became "Al Bradley." And Gemma as Montgomery Wood is great. Favorite Gemma is definitely either Anche angelic Tirrano Destro or Days of Anger with Van Cleef

I like that "Tony Anthony" sounds like one of those made-up silly names but it's actually the real name of one of the most prolific SW leads 😂

Hey Mike! Glad you posted another video. Hope you are safe my good man. Kudos to you. Btw....did you like the Jan Michael Vincent movie "Defiance"?

'Twas okay, but since director John Flynn's two previous films -- THE OUTFIT and ROLLING THUNDER -- were personal faves, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for better. You?

@@toughandgritty it's a personal fave. Saw it as a kid. I dig gang/vigilante movies. Latenight on CBS I think. I'm a JMV fan as well, but not as deep as say LVC, Bronson, Nero or Silva. By the way....I'm sure you have heard of Rick and Morty. Look at this

@@fletchkeilman2205 -- Just getting back to you! I had seen that before and what can a fella say? On the one hand, it's keeping the name alive. On the other hand, I hate to see the beasts of yore become ironic punchlines. That reminds me -- I have some J-MV content I need to get on YT from one of my old interviews. Not an interview with Jan himself, but one of his most frequent co-stars *about* J-MV....

@@toughandgritty Awesome!! I am definitely looking forward to that. As for the Rick and Morty, I sort of feel the same way. However, I do enjoy the cartoon. But, like you said, if it gets the kids in to his films (and perhaps genre Cinema in general), then I am down as well. Be safe, my friend!

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rNydhNdyvOCrhqM.html Go to 22:14, sounds more like he says "Larry Stern".

Yeah, but I'm guessing the American dubbers, after having a laugh with the Italian version (where "Stink" seems to have appeared), changed their version to "Stern." All sorts of Italian sources credit Germán Cobos as "Larry Stink / El Diablo." Good info, though....

Director Miles Deem used a variety of psynonyms to fill the credits in his films, like Dick Spitfire or Miles Deem.

Demofilo Fidani / Miles Deem -- the mark of Spaghetti Western anti-quality! Didn't know he had other pseudonyms too, so thanks!
