This game is great. When I walk around though the edges of my vision dims. Does this happen to anyone else. I can’t find a setting to turn it off

Yes, you can adjust the "vignette" setting in the comfort options of the main menu. This option is certainly to avoid motion-sickness, but if you're used to VR it can be annoying indeed.
