I 100% agree base VIP is worth the cost, a lot of the stuff it offers is insanely good. The problem is they offered a bonus (which is a good thing) but then proceeded to make the most needlessly convoluted system that was kinda guaranteed to draw player ire. Why not just give us something more modal like "choose your own bonus month" or "heres a monthly token you can redeem in a VIP store for something."? Why have a system which can actively screw over players who take time off, or new players who will always be behind, or people who just don't benefit from that months reward?

We had a npc to pause bravery bonus stuff, could totally do that for pots. "Pause all my pots!" There's still a few weeks to finagle this dumpster fire. If they don't make more/better changes, my 3 friends and I aren't re-subbing. QoL stuff would be awesome (especially considering what LoTRO has), but really, we'd be happy with just...more xp lol. 10% more, or buddy boost upped from 1 to 3 or something.

The funny part of the crafting bonus is that it near worthless for those who have built up cannith crafters. Because we've already maxed out the Cannith leveling. +10% craft XP is worthless since we only get 1 XP per craft now anyway.

Said it before and I'll say it again, The VIP program changes are very underwhelming. It would be easier and more beneficial just to bump to the monthly DDO points by 50% and an increased percentage for named loot drops.

To balance the exp potion per quest, you instead just make it give x amount of exp from quests, Lets say its 25k (randomly picked), first quest gives you 20k normally, so you get 20k + 20k from pot, with 5k left in the pot, next quest gives 20k normal + remaining +5k from pot.

The weapon (durability) wear reduction enhancement is useful for preventing a weapon from incurring permanent damage in the first place. It sucks to have your favorite weapon break & forever be beyond repair.

Also at 1:21:20 when he mentions the "How to cook humans" is a ripoff from The Twilight Zone on "How to Serve Humans" ... and people don't realize it's a cook-book on how to cook humans. The Simpsons just changed it slightly.

I wonder if they'll add in a catch-up mechanic for the VIP Program after the 1st year ... like if you get a 12-month bundle of sub-time you get the year of rewards immediately.

Making someone wait, as an example, 18 months before they get a subscription reward is about the dumbest idea I've ever heard regarding a game subscription. That's uncharted territory. What if someone signs up in 3 years? They have to wait 3 years to get the reward from the current day? Absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't sign up if I saw that. I probably would actually quit the game because it's clear the owners are just money grabbing and don't care about the player experience.

A 10% durability bonus is useless, but I think the idea is that year over year the bonuses will stack to be something substantial. still hope it gets tweaked somewhat.

I know weed is legal in Mass, but damn whoever made the decisions on this new VIP rewards system really needs to cut down.

I hope that at the very least they add rewards options of selection of year 1 or 2 for people next year. Let's say they add a new mount next year at the same time you would get it in year one, it would be nice to get an option of which you get

A question I've not seen addressed yet is if you're at month 23, are we now at 15 slots, at month 15, do we have 20% item durability ward, at month 19, do we get 20% crafting xp?

So if I am signed up by the year and I re-up a second year without any non VIP time between do I get the new signup bonus again on my 13th month?

Hey bro, just like I said, I couldn't watch live but here now that you posted it. First off, with all due respect, DL is *not* OP. I just finished running 3 lives with it, using the DL, Rav, and SD trees to varying degrees. It is very good, but it does NOT surpass the existing melee dps or tank meta builds at all. It's like Blightcaster - very good because it's built on the chassis of the base druid class (which is strong), but BC doesn't outdo an ice druid. DL is built on the Fighter chassis, but it's no Kensai - not even close. Also, it *is* a good off-tank, but definitely not nearly as good as a regular fighter in that role. I wish folks would stop with the nerf talk...this is why we don't get to have nice things. Melee has been getting the short end compared to casters for a while, and we finally have a solid, fun cc option for melees, just like casters. Let it be. Second, I'm VIP, and will continue to be VIP. These new things are ok, I agree the +20 heart is definitely the big thing to grab out of the bag, but 10% to item durability doesn't mean anything to me - I don't know who that is for, like you all said. And 1% on named items that stacks? I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, but it's practically negligible. A couple more percentage points would matter...1% not so much. But again, better than a kick in the teeth, I guess. I'm glad Cordo has been clarifying some things, as the initial communication is a bit unclear in parts. Having these things in addition to what we already get it nice, but none of these things would make or break my choice to sub. Now give me something where I can access AH, bank, limited vendors, or be able to buy whatever augs we want of any level or type without having to chase down the correct version of Randall Lyric, direct from another tab in the inventory window? Heck yes that would change everything for me personally. But anyway, it's nice to get something, and I won't say no, but it's ridiculous that we have to go talk to an NPC each month, when they are getting our sub money whether we log on or not. IMO - These loyalty rewards are pretty bad, and would not motivate me to sub or stay subbed. That said, the normal VIP benefits are worth while to me so this is basically irrelevant.

You pay VIP to support the game, not for benefits. All you are doing is donating money.

I play DDO to relax = not do politics and Woke politics = Freds first date...very dissappointed with this addition to the game...Not a place for this
