I have a new project. It´s the AX24 from Axial.
In this video I test the tires for this rig. It´s the stock ones and three different aftermarket tires and rims.

03:25 those big tires aren't corectly set, the front tires direction is not ok, great video and great test👌👌😃👍

Thanks for your attentive watching. I did that on purpose. I put on all my crawlers the rotated font tires the "wrong" direction for more grip. I know it's more kind of religion and every driver has his own philosophy about it. In this test it's for the Mud Terrains and the Monster tires. Last ones make no sense, that's right. But I wanted for the comparison the same rules for all tires.

Great test, Dirk! A good selection for tyres for the test, I was surprised that the stickier tyres didn't do so well in the incline test! It will be good to see how they all perform in different conditions on the rocks, dirt and mud! :O)

To be fair the plat is a little bit slippery. Therefore the angles of all tires weren't the best. But in relation to everyone there can be done a statement. I think on obstacles the stickier ones woul be better, because the can bite. And the greatest suprise is that the stock ones aren't as bad as the specs might let the people think. What a nice test! Lots of work to put together a video like this, so I really appreciate you took the time to show this. I have one of those sets, the Injora with the big lugs, I think they are on my SCX24 at the moment... I general, it's a jungle figuring out the right tyres for these little crawlers, so your video should definitely help with some decisions! Have a great weekend there, my friend!

So tue my friend. Therefore I kept the basics easy. Sure a test on a course might be give some more results, like the monster tires can't climb. But if you test something in detail the circumstances might not be repeatable or comparible. Now ervey set had it's own (fair) chance. I'm happy with the Muds and have fun running tires with the Muds on a sandy area. The Lizards aren't bad at all, beside their many disadvantages. And if I might replace the Pins, the following tires might compete with the Muds (in detail).

Yes, they are fun and on the next beach holiday they are in the suitcase😉. But keep in mind you need long drivers. First I used my Traxxas tools. But as long there's a space issue on other Injora rims, I invested into their 8in1 set.

Yes you're right. Their size and weight is the key to success. But also the simple stock ones with plastic rims and no foams performe very well

Yupp they are the best for this car. Sticky and with the right profile for most of the crawling tasks

@@RCBirds another cool thing WPL use 1" wheels and I can mount the smasher tires on the stock WPL c24 wheels, just barely the WPL wheels arent really wide enough, but can fit and be glued. Some wider WPL wheels tho. I really want a FMS 2speed now tho. I like your tires im a tire and engine freak. All i think about lol
