Yes indeed... The character development...I am expecting . Thats why its the only anime where I chose to read the original content... I havent read anything like this.. Someone who's been in a place like whiteroom ever since birth cant be changed, childhood is something that affects one's whole life literally, so what i mean to say is that everything taught in the white room has been hardwired into kiyotaka's mind, to have lived without any human interaction is a hell to deal with especially for a child, kiyotaka wont be changing any time soon because its impossible, machiavellianism cant be cured or its something that isnt a disease but a nature of ones being, the same goes to everyone no matter how hard you try something that scarred your childhood is going to scar you for your lives, after the moment deep down you'll always know that and just so you know machiavellianism is something that only a few develop but kiyotaka was born with it, how do i know it? Look at his father, hes cold and manipulative and exhibits machiavellianisn traits and thats what kiyotaka inherited, know this, one's mindset may change but the genetic code will never.

A lot of what u said was wrong lol, it’s not impossible to become a better person just cuz u had a bad childhood, the WR taught him that he needs to cut out all his emotions in order to always win and that’s true to an extent but Ayanokoji wants to lose to someone while he’s fully trying it’s just he knows it’s very unlikely there’s actually someone that can defeat him, he knows the WR traumatized him for life and he hates his father for it which is why he wants to become human but it’s very hard for him to, but if u actually payed attention to the y1-2 his development’s subtle but it’s there, instances like when he starts wondering if he’s rlly the bad guy and wether he’ll see the ppl around him as more than just tools also showcased when he unintentionally smiled around Horikita witout noticing, also Machiavellianism isn’t a nature of one’s being, it’s pretty much just being a manipulative and deception individual without being a true antisocial person, in fact Ayanokoji himself hates being this person, he doesn’t like manipulating like his father does, in fact he despises it cuz his need to always win holds back his own wants of wanting to become more human, also Ayanokoji wasn’t born a machiellevian just cuz his father is, it’s a complete gap in knowledge to assume that he was born a manipulative person just cuz his father is, when a baby is being made in the process it doesn’t get all of the dna of the father only gets some, it’s also narratively implied everything Ayanokoji does and who he is has came from the WR which includes his manipulation and deception abilities, anyways in y3 the author also pretty much confirmed he’ll have a much more noticeable redemption arc

@@ManabuHori Ayanokoji’s an unreliable narrator but regardless even if he does actually think that, it’s been proven wrong, everytime he wonders bout if things will ever be different for him, that’s already proving he does have hope to sum extent and the change is possible, his writing’s subtle but he’s been changing ever since he enrolled in the school and he’s been slowly findin his humanity, in y3 his development will be much more noticeable as the author said
