OMG. I've heard so many versions of this ghazal. Many singers have delivered excellent versions of theirs own, each more beautiful than another. But Ameena has excelled in a way that many others would not dare. She has delivered those dimensions of Bhairvi that even many Ustads would be reluctant. I love this rendition.

Kiya baat hai! Begum Akhtar ki rooh jhoom rahi ho gi! what an amazing rendition. Starts off by imitating ajoy pohanker and Osman Meer but soon finds her own voice and style. such expressions are only possible in Urdu and indian classical music.

Kudos to this Moplah girl from Kozhikode. No body can even think that a girl from this conservative Muslim community will sing and that too Urdu Ghazal. Their mother tongue is Malayalam and except English & little bit of Hindi (those settled in Mumbai) they don't know any other language. Her Guru who taught her music and refined her singing too deserve congratulations. And of course her parents who recognised her talent and encouraged her deserve credit. Ameena has bright future. She has already made a niche in the ghazal world. Many North Indian ghazal singers can't match her. Let this natural talent not burn out somewhere on the way. I wish her great success.
