Greenhouse farming is nice but debating,is it the best practices for Africa to embrace now. The advantage and disadvantages. We have the lands,all rounds climate and labor. We the local farmers want easy access to the tractors and I think we good to contribute our quota.

Why not put the soil on the floor but on a bowl and have the pipe set under them?

Yeah you are right. But what I can tell you is that, most soils are infested with diseases and nematodes so we normally put the growing media into the plastic buckets to prevent that. Another advantage is that an infested media can easily be taken out and managed to prevent the spread of pathogens in all the media🙏
