I think socks before pants is fine but I can see it both ways. For me personally when I’m fresh out the shower socks go on last, but if I’m getting changed quick then socks going on last is fine too. I’m gonna spend way to long thinking about this in days to come. Putting on nice clean socks or new socks feels great every time so getting dressed and putting on socks last is like saving the best for last
